I previusly had tested the Multiplicity from they website(free trial) and when the trial was over I was ready to pull the trigger and buy it. I brought via Steam because was cheaper for me.
What multiplicity does?
Hadn't you read the product description and you are already looking for reviews? What is wrong with you ?
LUL Just kiding
, Multiplicity is awesome ! it will make your desk "cleaner" you don't need more then one Keyboard/Mouse to work between your PCs. As easy as that... "If you use multiple PCs on a regular basis, Multiplicity is the solution you’ve been looking for.
Features:
- Seamless: Control up to 2 PCs with one keyboard and mouse - Preserve formatting on text and images which are copy & pasted between two PCs - Audio Share from multiple PCs and listen through one PC - Seamlessly switch between PCs using a mouse, hotkey, and touch (for touch-enabled monitors) - Hot key or touch to a specified field in an application or form"
I use it for:
- Connect to "encoder" machine to stream to Twitch. - Share files with CTRL C + CTRL V when needed (haven't tested with big files) I previusly had some issues on the software, because the layout on the Trial is different from the steam version, but it's all working well... If you got any problem try both things Sean.Drohan post below

It's good. I use it for the SD card reader on my laptop, then just pull the files right onto my desktop computer. It could easily be amazing and a must have for everyone. But in order to reset your computers you have to send a message to the developers.... This is demented. Please add a button in the software that sends a request. It's outstandingly INCONVENIENT for a software designed to make life more convenient. Otherwise I've had a couple problems but I can't remember what they were and it works now. It says 0.2hrs but It's been running on my machines for years. I'm actually writing this because I forgot I even had it and whilst randomly thinking how long it is to get the files across, my cursor poked onto the other screen and I was like "wtf.. oh s**t yeah!" and there was much rejoicing.

This software lets you control your other devices using your main computer's keyboard+mouse. It also lets you transfer your clipboard information and audio (last one I havn't tested). I was worried there would be latency issues over wifi, but it works perfectly! It's easy to set up and works like magic. It's a must have for multitasking at home with your work-laptop. It has very few reviews because the app only registers like 2 seconds of playtime once you launch it. Meaning a very small portion of users have reached the minimum requirement of 5 minutes to write a review. 5/5

Works great until you try and reset your pc.. now I can't use it at all because it says I have to many primary computers active although I don't have any active... so basically $20 down the drain and support isn't helping at all

This application has few reviews because it is hard to write a review for an app that you don't run from steam, but i've done it ;) the few reviews here are mostly negative: 1) Some don't know what his app really do and expect a different kind of remote control. This app does what it says, allows you to share a keyboard and mouse across multiple computers each with its screen, that's what I came for and that's what I got, it does it just great. Those persons expect this to be a remote management a là TeamViewer / Remote Desktop / etc, which this steam version doesn't do, on the other hand the Pro does. 2) some reviews complain about getting the pro version through steam and Stardock doesn't want, I agree with them, I really wanted the pro version but I got this with a deal 50% off, which you can't upgrade on the Stardock website. I wish stardock can make the pro version as DLC, which I'll buy quickly. Thanks

Please, do not buy this software. I bought this software back in october so that i could control my media centre from my gaming computer. however. there was one major flaw with my idea. This software simply doesn't work as advertised. A key feature i was interested in was being able to stream the audio from my media centre to my gaming computer. however most of the time the audio will simply cut out and the only way for me to regain audio is to shut down the multiplicity application on my gaming computer and media centre and sometimes not even that works and i have to restart both of them. Naturally i contacted Stardock about this issue. and i have to say they have the worst support team i have ever encountered. they showed no interest in actually helping me solve my issue. all they did is ask me to re-install the program, and when that didn't work they simply said that they needed to contact the development team. that was two months ago. since then i have sent them various emails asking them how much longer i'm going to have to wait. and they haven't gotten back to a single one of them.

***** BUYER BEWARE **** While I have purchased other software from Stardock, the specific version of Multiplicity that they sell on Steam is misleading as they fail to point out important specifics on the store page. Example they state "Control 2 PCs with one keyboard and mouse using a seamless connection" but it should rather indicate "Control 2 PCs with one keyboard, and mouse connected to multiple monitors" With this version of Multiplicty unless ALL of your devices connect to a different monitor or output then it’s not going to work as it is basically a KM option. Case in point I live in a (2) story house with a computer/monitor on each floor and I simply wanted to use this software however this version or KM option is NOT possible. The KVM version that they sell on their website will work (Or at least they claim it will) but the important question is can you upgrade the Steam version? Nope the developers refer you to buy the KVM version on their website even though they know you paid for the version on Steam. Great job Stardock thank you for your support! I would have honestly refunded if I could but it was one of those purchases that I had made and unfortunately did not get around to it until later. Bottom line is I hope this review will help others and not make the same mistake I did or that Stardock will open their eyes and offer an upgrade option for those buyers like me as that would show that Stardock actually cares about their customers.
