To be honest, the spider race alone would be worth it, but getting the soundtrack too is icing on the cake! Worth the buy!

Love this soundtrack, and on sale it's a bonus! Reminds me of "Tangerine Dream".

Some of my best memories of the soundtrack aren't attached to thing I did do in the game, but rather what I couldn't do. I can't remember how many times I'd come home from a long, exhausting day at work, and I'd try to beat back the fatigue by playing some Stellaris, only to be lulled to sleep by the soundtrack. Now I've re-downloaded the soundtrack to my phone and I sometimes listen to it when I sleep properly.

This is not DLC for an exclusive race. This is a "cosmetic race" that does not add a race to the game. Do not buy for "a new exclusive race"

I purchased this DLC because it says "An exclusive alien race will be added to your game with a unique arachnid design." What you get is a portrait pack, the "a unique arachnid design" bit. The "exclusive alien race will be added to your game" is just hype and spin. Feeling disapointed and let down. I can only post this review if I press thumbs up or down on wether to purchase or not. So the thumbs down I gave is not towards the soundtrack, just the hype and spin around the alien race that wasn't added to the game.

the GOOD: -Intense, Immersive gameplay - Loads of creative events/storylines, all very much worth reading -limitless technologies to research and discoveries to make -Defenition of Replayable -active modding community -active devs, always fixing problems and releasing new content, releasing content based off community ideas/designs. -enslave a bunch of ugly aliens -you can find this game on sale pretty often, but it is worth every bit of the full price, and so is all the DLC. the BAD: -mid game can feel slow and empty, but mods really help this. -late game WILL lag, even somewhat on better computers, especially with Mods, larger Galexy sizes and Wormhole stations. (to be expected with that much going on.) -multiplayer games with mods are an absolute bitch to organize ( but they are well worth it.) the UGLY: -most of the aliens. some TIPS: -reduce late game lag by: -excluding wormhole travel from games -keeping the speed at normal late-game -weeding out more demanding mods -using smaller map sizes -I HIGHLY recommend using mods for this game, the community is active and growing, and there are tons of ways to make this game much more functional, replayable, and beautiful. -Never underestimate the AI. a computer is better than you at focusing on multiple things. -if you have a girlfriend, break up with her before you buy it. It will be less painful than her slowly losing you to a video game. 10/10 would break up with my girlfriend again.
