So back in 2018 I played this game for about 20 minutes. I was lost and couldn't really get into it. Maybe I just wasn't into this style of game back then, or maybe it was my color
blindness and some of the in-game markers throwing me off, idk. Over the years I'd see it pop up in sales or scrolling through my library and think about how I should give it another shot. Yesterday I finally did and now have over 17 hours. Incredibly addicting and just an amazing business/life sim. Plenty of customization for setting (although I wish I could pick what business I begin with in the Businessman start).
If you're into watching numbers go up and managing supply chains you will love this

Game is great. It is incomplete, but it's great. Maybe not for everyone, but I really like it so far. Feels like someone tried the guild and realized that it shouldn't be to hard to make a better version of the same game - and well on his/her way of doing so.

The Guild series, but in Anglo Saxon England. Unfortunately it has exactly the same problem that ruined The Guild, namely that the automation is awful when it works, and buggy enough that it often doesn't, so past a certain point it's a choice between micromanagement hell or watching your commercial empire collapse under the weight of terrible AI decisions and inexplicable stoppages.
