The bottom line is it's just too difficult to be enjoyable. I love the retro look and feel. They nailed the sound and the looks, but the gameplay, enemy, and level design is just too frustratingly difficult to really enjoy. I got through it on the hardest difficulty and realized I'd spent well over 20 hours memorizing levels and bosses to beat this simple little game. I grew up in the 80's with old *intendo games like this. They were hard, but not this hard. Why do so many game companies want to make these things ridiculously hard? I hope it's not for those ridiculous streamers that want that for views. Do you want to sell 1 copy of game or a million? Don't make games for streamers.

awesome sauce of a game my only thing with it is while i get it is trying be full on retro i wish games like this would have the later mechanics of future contra esq style titles but other then that fun game is worth
