🐾🐾🐾 Greetings, fellow adventurers, I am Kiba Snowpaw, the seasoned gamer ice wolf from an icy planet, swirling with blizzards and gleaming white landscapes, reminiscent of the very game I'm about to review. I've delved into countless digital realms, supported numerous indie developers, from the underdog teams on Kickstarter to those struggling creators on Patreon. My passion for gaming, anime, and manga knows no bounds, stretching as far back as the 80's, as deep as the frost in my fur. Now, let's bare our fangs and dive headfirst into the "game-changing" update of the much-maligned, "Seed of the Arcane".
🌨❄️🌨 To put it succinctly, playing this game is like being trapped in a never-ending snowstorm; frigid, confusing, and full of the despair of the lost. If Dante Alighieri were alive today, he would surely find another circle of hell within the code of this game. This "0.5 Game Changing Update" has somehow managed to hit new lows, turning this winter wonderland into a Siberian hellscape. #FrostBiteBitesBack 😭😭😭
🕹🤷♂️🕹 Let's talk about the gameplay first, or rather, the lack thereof. It feels as though I'm maneuvering an aged sled dog on a frozen lake; the controls are less responsive than a hibernating bear. Even the basic functionalities, like picking up items or interacting with NPCs, are a herculean task. It's as if the NPCs have been struck with frostbite, as rigid and unresponsive as they are.
🎙💔🎙 The voice acting is akin to a pack of yowling cats trying to imitate Shakespearean soliloquies in the depths of winter. The same voices echo through every character, devoid of emotion or depth. It's as if the game has been trapped in a perpetual winter, and the cold has seeped into the very soul of the characters. The monotone delivery would make even the most patient wolf howl in agony. #VoiceActingWoes 😞😞😞
🎨👎🎨 The graphics? Oh, let's not even get started on the graphics. It's as though they've taken a beautiful Arctic landscape and transformed it into a pixelated mess. And the tutorial! It's as informative as an icicle in a snowstorm. I would rather have a snowball fight with a yeti than endure the agony of this "tutorial" again.
👾🤦♂️👾 As for the bugs, they are as numerous as snowflakes in a blizzard, each one unique in its capacity to frustrate and disappoint. I half expected a "glitch gremlin" to pop up as the game's final boss! #GameOverBeforeItBegins 🙈🙈🙈
🗺🚫🗺 The so-called "open world" is about as open as a cage in a zoo. Invisible walls block your path at every turn. I've seen more freedom in a game of checkers. Even the quest design feels as if it was done by a team of arctic hares on a caffeine high, leaving you with a sense of aimlessness that rivals wandering the Arctic tundra without a map. #LostInTheCode 🙄🙄🙄
🥶👿🥶 Now, the devs have claimed that this is "early access", but I must vehemently disagree. To compare this game to other early access titles is an insult to the developers who are genuinely trying to improve their games. This feels like they have tossed a snowball into the winds of the Arctic, hoping it would magically turn into a fully-fledged game.
💔💔💔 As a passionate gamer and supporter of indie games, it genuinely pains me to write such a negative review. But, as a part of the gaming community, I feel it is my duty to warn others about this frostbitten mess of a game. I've played plenty of "bad" games that were still entertaining in their own way, but sadly, "Seed of the Arcane" is not one of them.
👎👎👎 In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend this game to anyone, not even as a gag gift for your worst enemy. "Seed of the Arcane," you've managed to be a "game changer," just not in the way you had hoped. I sincerely hope the developers take this feedback to heart and work on improving their game. As a wise old wolf once told me, "In every defeat, there is a lesson to be learned."
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to my den and recuperate from this ordeal. This has been Kiba Snowpaw, the furry gamer from the ice world, signing off. #FurryGamerOut 🐾🐾🐾

The story is a strong aspect of the game and I am looking forward to checking its different endings!
Althgough the graphics at the begining are borderline ok, but they get much better after the tutorial.
Its combat is fine, but there is still space for improvement and I would really like to see more skills in the future.

Reminds me of Gothic 2.
I see a lot of D&D elements like attributes, although it doesn't follow the rules it seems like it uses a similar system.
The combat was nice too especially with the knight at the start,
I got a little disappointed when I landed from a knight to a farmer.
The graphics are decent for an early access game, I hope that they will improve them though.

This game doesn't have the proper execution to call it a game.
More of an incomplete bug.

don't buy this game, it will haunt your dreams. the sound is terrible sound like its recorded in a drum barrel, and the tutorial part is leaving you with a sence of what happened? after the tutorial ended i went to main island, did my first quest? by following npc, to get to second quest there my guide on the way got stuck and left at 1 hp, which bugged out the enemy so it couldn't get hurt/killed and you just can stand there doing nothing.. The controls in this game is soo out of date for a game. its not as responsive hard to control, the graphics are less then mediocre, sometimes you have a hard time picking up stuff, because of angles the indicator (which is just written words) where the item and loot are is bugged out . Even npc's you want to talk to is hard to interract with because of these camera angless.
it would be an ok game in the early stages of 3d environmental games, IF they would put any work in it, it just havent been updated for years and it is left stranded in a bad shape, I would even recommend steam to get rid of this title entirely.
so to sum up. seems devs pulled the plug on this game, many bugs making it impossible to progress through even first few quests, mediocre graphics, bad sound, wonky controls, even if 90% off I wouldn't recommend it

It could be a good game, if it was released like 15-16 years ago.
If you like Old School type RPG's you may give it a try, AT A DISCOUNT period.
I will change this review to positive when i actually have more time to play it, but for 20 minutes 5 crashes and with a buggy tutorial & gameplay, i just cant leave a positive review.

I was a fool.
Lol I thought hey 90% off? bad reviews? broken game? might be fun to poke fun at and have a little bit of fun with.
No. Just no. don't buy this game. Listen to the negative reviews.
DO NOT BUY THIS 'GAME'. I'm disappointed at the lack of fun I can poke at it. and I'm disappointed that the 90% coupon got me too.

The game was absolutely unbearable, so much so that I barely managed playing through the tutorial. The game's so bad, I wouldn't even consider it laughable, just sad. With its terrible choice in text font, crappy voice acting, janky graphics, boring gameplay, and just overall terrible narrative, it barely makes the cut to be considered "subpar". Fortunately I didn't get the game at it's full price (currently $12) and got it for 75% with a coupon, which was heavily discounted for all of the right reasons I'd say. Long story short, my experience with this game has been absolutely painful.
