I got the feeling of having bought a 3D chemistry magazin. Yeah this idea can create money.

Although the content right now isn't really about advanced chemistry (I saw they were planning the put quantum mechanics etc in their next update though), I do recommend it for people who are just generally interested in chemistry like me. One of the major pros for this software is the user interface. When searching for some good educational chemistry sites or programs, I was really bothered by the lack of quality. The content right now may not seem too big, but if you search for non-professional chemistry software on the interwebs, you won't find anything better than this.

Hmm, it's a bit of cobbled together basic chemistry educational material (watch their video, it is an overview of the extent of it). There's an interface where you can place "atoms" (spheres with an element label) and drag them around, but e.g. molecules don't even move as a unit. Drawing the same on paper (or as a teacher on a blackboard) may be less fancy but is a lot quicker. Other than that there are a few animations, pictures of Bohr atom models, and videos provided as link to youtube. Due to lacking explanations the material is not for self teaching (even a book or just websurfing would be better) and to generate educational material teachers should find better stuff for free. Then there is the name: "quantum engine" ... well no! The thing is, the developer(s?) did put some work into it, maybe to convey some enthusiasm for chemistry, and for that i'd really like to give them a thumbs up, but i can't think of someone who would really benefit from it in its current state.

The engine is really not what i expected. The atoms cannot act with each other. There are only 2 simulations which show atoms bonding. quite poorly made product. with a couple of facts, hazard explanations and a periodic table that does not work. i guess the price resembles the quality. Although it didn`t satisfy me, it could be a helpful tool for teachers.
