I have been playing WBM series since 2008. Classic WBM series + Tycoon game. My expectation was high enough for new game however unfortunately WBM2 is basically same initial game since 2008. Almost no improvement but only new interface which is nicer and more useful. Guys!, this game still has no trade or loan options :) or proper draft system in NBA. you cant even scout potential tallented players. Moreover still struggling with sufficient numbers of bugs. Honestly the WBM2 is not worth to pay 10Euros of bill :) .
Even though plenty of issues, it is still best basketball manager game especially whom likes old school type of managering games. On the other hand, creators of this game had very limited budget and dedicated their time to build the WBM2. Yes there are so many drawbacks but truth is this game is still the best game in market. And i hope that finally developers of this game will add more features and improvements (and update steam version of this game as well :) ) I recommend this game because we dont have better option right now :)

Had high hopes for this one. Totally unplayable. The game crashed as soon as i started playing, i gave it another chance, it crashed again.. Another unsuccessful basketball management game. Waste of time and money.

I’ve been following this game since the beginning.
There are not many new features in the new version but it solves the game’s biggest problems, which was the clumsy interface and the slow speed.
The new interface is clear and easy to use and understand and the daily update speed is a lot faster.
Also many things that existed in older versions seem to work better now, like the players’ contract and playing time problems and the ability to sell players to other teams.
As usual the Real Names patch is essential in order to really enjoy this game.

I've been playing WBM since 2007. The game is getting better every year and with this latest addition to the series developers did great job. I always enjoy with the depth of database having variaty of leagues. In addition to database now interface is more colorful and provides easy navigation, match engine is faster.

It’s unfortunate to leave a negative review, but it has to be done.
WBM2 is an old-school sports manager. I appreciated the vast number of leagues, text-based match commentaries, and tactics that actually impact the results.
However, there are simply too many bugs. Honestly, it’s one of the buggiest games I’ve ever played. Yes, it was made by a small team, probably with a very limited budget, but in that case, it’s better not to release a game at all than to launch something so unfinished. On top of that, the game lacks some small but important features, like a club's transfer history, a list of trophies won by players, and so on. Updates for the game are very rare, and I doubt these issues will ever be fixed.
I had high hopes for this game. It partly met them, but I cannot give a positive review to such an incomplete product.

Easily the best basketball game out there right now for PC (and yes, that includes NBA 2K18).
The main downside is that the game uses general management regulations, so no salary cap or trading in the NBA. I honestly found it more fun to play international leagues instead as a result.

I love this game and for £6.99 you can't go wrong. I love my sports management sims but i'm usually put off when I see that the matches are only text based. Well I don't know how the developers have done it but they've really made me feel like i'm immersed in a huge basketball world. I'm not normally a basketball fan, so I don't fully know how the rules of the game work, but even though there's a lot of depth to this game, it's still easy enough for the beginner to figure out after a few games what's going on. The matches are quite long so I don't know if I could sit and spend a whole day playing it, so i've simmed it to the current date and I play it in real time, it just feels more exciting doing it that way.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the game.
Back in 2003, when the first WBM was released, it was a very good effort and something innovative. I didn't mind the bugs and flaws because if the game was further developed, something great would happen.
14 years later, I cannot mind the bugs and flaws. Not when the game has been reskinned and reselled multiple times in the past.
First of all, expect a little level of realism and immersion from the game. You cannot set your own tactics (and as we know, basketball has A LOT of tactics involved), you cannot interact with the players or the media, there are no trades, the AI keeps changing defensive tactics every two minutes (no real coach does that for 40 or 48 minutes), there is no scouting (as in discover players with potential, as a matter of fact there is no potential ability), you can bring any player you want as long as you have the money (Lebron James to Euroleague? Why not?) and the game doesn't do a good job distinguishing tiers of players, as the stats scale from 1 to 20, there are no mental stats and no signature moves. For example, If a player has 17 in 3pt shots, he can play exactly the same in NBA or in a local low tier league.
The game has no depth.
What you can expect is a lot of bugs. The game crashes randomly and some options simply don't work. I can't get to play in Windowed mode, for example, there is an option but does nothing. If you transfer list a player there is no way to make him unavailable for sale again. If you try to change offensive options when the game is on, it will mess your other settings. Clearly, there is a lot of work to be done for the game to become stable and usable 100%.
From 2003 until today, basketball has changed a lot. Unfortunately WBM hasn't. The only thing that is better is the speed of processing between days, it was much worse back then.
I don't expect a full fledged manager game like FM for football. But 14 years is a lot of time to change something in the match engine, nothing has been done.
I wish the best for the devs and the game, we need a good basketball manager sim. But right now, I cannot recommend it.
