It's just not there yet, hopefully they put a lot more work in to flesh this game out right now it is way too bare bones even for early access. Also very glitchy on Rift.

A tense and spooky wave-defense shooter executed well in VR. Having to rebuild defenses manually in VR on the fly adds an extra fun layer of dread.
Looking forward to future releases and maps!

This little VR game is a surprisingly good time, even for being in early access right now. The gun play feels great, the gameplay is solid, and the barricading mechanic is something I'm surprised many more games aren't doing. Seriously, it's amazing. The way it's done here feels perfect, and the rush of throwing up a few more boards over a door to keep the monsters is awesome. The game feels well balanced and offers up a good challenge, it took a few runs though before I was able to beat the level. I'm really looking forward to more maps and game modes.
All in all it's a great game that offers hours of fun in its current state and has tons of room to grow. For the price you can't really go wrong. It's also nice to see that the devs are working with the community and respond to feedback, I don't see that enough!

A solid start for an early access game! It’s scary, fun, and the atmosphere really pushes that vibe. Has some bugs, and glitches but nothing that’s not expected for an early access title. I really want to play the story mode, but I guess that will come in a future update. I just want more! I think adding a more indepth tutorial would be helpful. I didn't realize I could use my belt to attach guns to until a few minutes in. After I realized this I was zipping around and barricading doors like a madwoman!
Would recommend for an early access game. Looking forward to the story mode!

Very rough start. Maybe something decent will come of this some day.
-2 Stages
-Forced jittery targeting
-No options menu
-Very jittery movement and laggy in general
-Radio guy hard to understand
-Movement only follows controller
Can't recommend in current form.

I got this game about a week ago, and I finally sat down to give it a try. I'm really enjoying it! When the sensors go off in the distance, and you cant see what's coming (only where its coming from) feels creepy cool. The atmosphere is great. There are some many VR games that feel dead and lack any atmosphere at all. Not the the homestead invasion, its dripping with it! It runs surprisingly well on my gtx 960 too.
I tried the beta branch with the new arctic map, outpost 31, and it was really fun. The name is totally a nod to the movie "The Thing" which I enjoyed.
Overall? This game is still in early access but I wholly recommend it.

This game is kinda good for a beta game.
the game is in development and i wish to see more in the future.
there are some suprising moments in the game that gives a good scare.
This games idea is good.
The game also has it downsides. There is only 2 guns. there is only one room where you have to stay.
But it´s still in development and i wish to see more from this game in the future
I recomend this game!

Update 13 Sept 2018
The addition of smooth turning is a most welcome addition, Thank you.
With smooth turning included, the base gameplay is much easier to manage (I don't get the cord wrapped around my feet nearly as much), and makes the ability to start enjoying what the game has to offer happen.
The size of the shed I'm boarded up needs to be increased (once they break in, it is 'do or die', almost no chance of running, or the opportunity to fend them off), or allowing you to go outside without the monsters being on top of you very quickly. Having one of the monsters go into a Predator-type mode (slowly hunting you down) might be a fun idea for consideration.
Smooth turning, however, seems to have some judder/stutter when I turn. Not enough to destroy gameplay, but enough to notice (and slightly break the immersion).
The smooth turning addition is enough for me to start enjoying the game, and for that, I can now give the game a thumbs up.

Original Review:
A Call of Duty Zombie Mode Game with wanna-be Predators.
If you ever played the COD Zombie on a smartphone (years ago), you've got a VR version of it here. The game, for myself, is by no means a mess, but I have a number of issues with it that hampers my enjoyment.
Cons:
- When first playing this game, I tried used the 360 degree form of playing. After only a couple of minutes, my Oculus cord was wrapped around my leg like a python, which forced me to constantly untangle myself. Thankfully, the developers recently provided 45 degree snap turning, eliminating the cable entanglement, but makes it very jarring for myself when using it to track the monsters (especially inside the building). Smooth turning, combined with 360 degree tracking would be the optimum solution for myself.
- In the basement, there is a door that can be beaten open. I'm not sure what the reason for this type of door is, rather than to say 'here's one you don't hae to board up'. Why not have an option to weld the door, and if they bust it open, re-weld it shut?
- Having a melee weapon should be considered. Having both guns empty with aliens in front of you means: drop one gun, reload the other, and try not to die while doing so. Having a melee weapon, or the ability to push them back, would make it feel like I have a better chance of making it through.
- On occassion, trying to pick up a board has me instead reaching for a gun or ammo. I usually have to physically turn to pick up a board to avoid this problem.
- When going downstairs to close the door, I can either walk down the stairs or jump down form the other side (and receive no damage).
- While I'm getting killed around the 3rd alien or so, the building itself seems rather small. Maybe I just need to get further into the game, but the play area (assuming the objective is to remain boarded inside the building) is very restrictive.
Pros:
- Captures the overall feeling of COD: Zombies.
- The graphics have a simplistic feel to them, which is okay, and keep me focused on the gameplay (which is overall fun, despite my gripes).
The game does have potential, and you could do worse for 5 bucks, but until the gameplay and controls gets better smoothed out, I would approach with caution.

I was expecting something akin to a CoD Zombies game, and while the game sort of delivered, it just feels unfinished. It's less of a "kill-until-your-last-breath" game and more of a "kill-until-the-guy-on-the-radio-says-you-can-leave" sort of game. That's totally fine, but there's just not much content and it feels like the dev did the classic steam cliche of leaving an EA game in EA. I hope that someday they return to finish the game, and if they do, I will change my review accordingly.

This is a great game to show off VR to friends. The goal and controls are pretty intuitive (i.e., survive) and the atmosphere is fantastic. It'a a great demonstration of how immersive VR games can be with good audio design. The devs seem committed to improving the game, and I definitely appreciate the option to disable sliding as it means this game is accessible even to people who have issues with motion sickness.
This game is on my shortlist of "games I show people who haven't played VR to try to sell them on the concept" and I've had great response.
