Banger Game. 10/10.
I've played for around 700 hours total on Xbox & here on Steam and is one of the very few games i play consistently. This is THE best game for creative individuals who have a passion for making stuff move. This game can also be used as a learning device (for parents looking to buy for their kids) which teaches the principles of iterative development, advanced math & problem solving, 3D design and logic systems to name a few. The community is very supportive of newer players and someone starting out can find themselves creating advanced builds in a couple of months if they ask around or watch videos and learn about techniques and tricks. There is also a very active workshop for sharing blueprints (vehicles & builds) and multiple large forums such as in discord & reddit. - Bi-weekly competitions are held by developers and accessible to players in the discord servers and occasionally offer in- game rewards, most of the time new DLC's, and there is a ranking for the competitive players out there. - Speaking of competitive play, a large niche in the community is high- level dogfighting and other forms of PvP in combat orientated gamemodes. - And those interested in lore, storytelling can be a huge part of building a creation and many groups (or corporations) have fully embraced this while maintaining incredible build quality. WE LOVE JOHANNES he is the community manager of flashbulb and is part of a strong connection between the players and developers meaning that trailmakers evolves with the community's input. Trailmakers is largely community orientated but also provides 3 different campaigns and racing modes for solo or group play which can easily offer 100+ hours of entertaining gameplay. I give trailmakers a 10/10 even though there is a gargantuan amount of DLC's and this is because you don't need to buy all or even any of them to get good quality out of the game (of course if you wanted to buy all of them it would help the wonderful devs a tonne). In my opinion its like boosting yourself in different genres, - should you find yourself building more planes than anything else, i would suggest the airborne expansion, - and for boats, high seas, ect. And i feel like i should mention that sales on these DLC's are not uncommon, so if you want certain ones wishlist them and keep an eye out for those juicy discounts I recognize this is a chonky review, and divie'd up and highlighted sections accordingly, but that's just because i have so many good things to say about trailmakers, but to sum it up: (*the overwhelming majority of) The people who play this game love it, and i am one of them :)

Very interesting gameplay, i have spent some time in this game, i can say that more weapons and modular blocks would be good, expansions on singleplayer would be nice

I've watched people play this game all the time, from scrapman, to yuezi, to many more! However, when I finally got the game and started playing, I got seriously addicted. This has been such a fun game, and the first one I spent a good amount of money on for DLCs. And each on is worth it. I've used almost every block atleast once. I highly recommend if you enjoy games like minecraft, terratech, scrap mechanic, or other similar building games.

The game was very good, until this PvP 2.1 update and some others in the past as well. What happened in this update was a moral crime. Functional blocks and good weapons in a paid DLC. The biggest problem is that the paid blocks are better and irreplaceable (this is called pay-to-win). I'm not against DLCs or them making money. I'm against them putting functional and good blocks in DLCs. Imagine a Minecraft where to get iron tools or higher, you would have to pay. That's unfair. Players who pay shouldn't have a competitive advantage. (We want justice).

Devs are very greedy, half of the items are behind DLCs. You miss out on most of the fun if you don't have all the DLCs, and they're too expensive. If the game was 10$ or less, this would be acceptable but not for an almost 30$ game.

A very fun game that allows you to build whatever kind of vehicle you wish, and decorate it to your hearts content. Although I love it dearly, unfortunately it is one of those games where every update, except for some minor bits, is completely locked behind a paywall. I understand maps being locked behind paywalls. I totally understand decoration being locked behind paywalls. But pieces? Functional pieces??? It literally just strips your creativity away, and every time I buy a DLC I dread the fact that a new one is going to be released soon, and I will have to spend MORE money to be satisfied. It just prevents me from enjoying the game. If you are the kind of gamer that is content with the current state of the game, and is not wanting updates too badly, then you will probably enjoy it if you are into this sort of thing. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it seeing as the mountain has already peaked.
