I'm a big fan of The Labs VR Xortex 2600 game so I naturally had to get this.
It's based off the same type game play where you control your ship with your hand and dodge bullets and kill badies to upgrade your fire power and ship.
It has replay value for sure and is a blast to play literally and figuratively.
It's not the same game as Xortex it is different just same idea and this uses the Unreal engine which is always a cool thing:-)
Seems the Unreal Engine works well with VR so there are plenty more UE games out there for VR of all different types.
If you like this type of gameplay in VR then you will enjoy this .

hello. I only have enjoyed this game for few minutes but do enjoy this space game. The opponents vary and ther is lots of action to be played. I hope the makers add more colors and affects to each danger sphere. Overall, this game makes a good space game and can give long times of fun for all.

I really enjoyed Xortex from the lab and although this uses the same mechanic, its still really fun. There are lots of different upgrades to try and a few unlockable ships. The ships were hard to unlock, but at least I didn't breeze through the game too quickly. Right now, I'd say its worth it for the price but would like to see added content in the future.

thoroughly enjoy making my helicopter dart in and out of fields of fire...the unlockable upgrades and different model ships will keep me coming back trying to figure out better strategies to surpass my previous records.

Hm, where to begin... graphics are kinda bland and boring; downright horrible is the aliasing though: I'm sure one can get eye cancer from that :-\
-> why the f* do developers NOT use the SteamVR SuperSampling settings?!? It bugs me the hell out, as time and time again (with UE4 games) you are stuck with fuzzy, edgy objects everywhere: let the user via SteamVR decide how much AA/SS and performance drop he wants, god|damn....
Sound effects are what you'd expect, but gameplay at least is quite fun for an hour or two, as it really works well with roomscale VR and has you walking around, dodging ships and laser fire.
Now the problems:
THE SAVEGAME KEEPS GETTING CORRUPTED. That means you'll have to delete your save and start from scratch or you'll not be able to progress any further (if you unlocked two ships, you'd be stuck with them and a game restart will wipe any upgrades and stuff). This. Sucks. Big. Time.
The "right hand" (or left for that matter) is different to SteamVR setting; it's only a minor gripe, but it's here. Sloppy work, nothing more.
There is - as far as I can tell as I got corrupted a lot^^ - only one ... "war room"/simulation space, which means you basically always, always(!) fight the same ships in the same room the same way.
If you're lucky with different ships and upgrades.
Anything else to add? Hm, yeah, did I mention that the SAVEGAME KEEPS GETTING CORRUPTED?
Not even worth the few bucks I payed for while on sale; most definitly not worth the full price!

Differences from Xortex:
- Larger playspace requiring more movement
- Enemies attacking from behind (forward/360 setting didn't seem to change anything)
- You don't die from one hit
First of all, if you liked Xortex, you should give this game a chance. I, however, enjoyed Xortex for a while but this game didn't entertain me. Why? Who knows. Maybe this type of game just bores me quickly.
Problems:
- Runs relatively poorly and looks bad. Had noticeable slowdowns at gr8 graphics setting with i7 @ 4,4GHz and OC'd GTX 1080. Considering how the game looks, this shouldn't happen.
- There are different enemies but all you can really do against all of them is to point and shoot. You don't even prioritize certain types like in Xortex.
- You have to twist your arm in weird positions to kill the enemies chasing you.
- My highscore didn't update to the leaderboards (might have been due to windows firewall - after I stopped playing I noticed it was asking for permission). After restarting the game score was wiped (upgrades stayed).
- The game is very easy after you buy the active repair skill. I didn't come even close to dying so I suicided at wave 34. Difficulty setting doesn't seem to make much of a difference, at least at start.
- You have to press the trigger to fire. I found this unpleasant. Especially considering that you have no reason to stop firing.
Conclusion: Ugly and poorly balanced shooter that you might enjoy nonetheless.
