Simple fun puzzle game, direct / redirect the rolling balls that have varying characteristics and kill the zombies whilst avoiding killing the good citizenes of errrr-i-dont-actually-know-where-ville. Very recommended. 7/10. But I liked the wacky bosses in Save Jesus more, they had more character and better cutscenes..There haven't been any boss cutscenes in Zombie Ballz and I'm half-way through now. Tip: Right-click to stop the camera zoom/panning.

TL;DR: 3/10, the game is functional but it is not fun to play. It’s simple but very boring, its failure to implement basic mechanics makes progressing a chore and it is visually unappealing. Zombie Ballz is a 2D ball physics puzzle game. Your goal is to interact with the level and guide your “weapon” (ball) to hit and kill all the zombies while collecting coins and not touching humans. The game is very simple, however even these basic concepts are executed poorly. Each level has two objectives, the win condition: kill all the zombies, and the optional challenge: collect all 3 coins. Figuring out what you have to do to beat the level is usually very easy, which makes the game rather boring, yet actually doing it is a chore. This is caused by 2 issues: the physics and the level design. Although the ball physics are the core mechanic of the game, they are not implemented very well. The same action will often result in a different outcome, so even if you are doing the right thing it may take a few tries before the ball does what it’s supposed to do. Some levels require you to propel the ball by detonating bombs as the ball rolls over them, however to get the ball where you want it requires you to detonate the bomb at precise moments, meaning you will have to repeatedly restart the level until you manage to click the bomb at the perfect time. Combine this with the shoddy physics and some levels become a tedious process of trial and error even if you already figured out how to complete the puzzle. There is no incentive to complete the additional challenge and collect the coins other than completionism, and since collecting them requires you to struggle with the physics even more it is best if you ignore the coins entirely. Another gameplay issue is that some levels have the ball already in motion as the stage begins, so you will have to needlessly restart a few times while you fully analyse the level so you know how to proceed. As you progress you unlock different types of balls but the game does not explain how they differ from each other. I’m not sure if there even are any differences between them because when I tested them I could not tell whether the differences in their movement were caused by the type of ball or the poor physics. Also when you unlock a new ball it automatically selects it, but it does not deselect your current ball(s) meaning with every restart the game will randomly pick one ball from the ones you have selected. There is no benefit from this mechanic and the game gives you an achievement for reducing your selected balls back to one??? The only things the game does explain are a few level elements tightly crammed in an information panel, but even that leaves out some objects. Graphically the game is also messy, with a mix of high and low resolution textures, poorly edited sprites and a mismatched font. Ultimately I gave up on level 12, which was some kind of boss fight during which I could only progress by waiting until the boss slowly converted non destructible blocks into destructible ones, which I then had to destroy by precisely catapulting my ball at them using bombs. Like the other levels it was easy to figure out what to do but doing it was a boring and repetitive task. The game is simply not fun to play and I would not recommend it even if you got it for free. Placing a few lego figures on a wall and chucking rocks at them is a comparable and ultimately more exciting experience.

Excellant game so much fun and not to easy, this game has more of a challenge and a couple of levels take some time to work out and can be quite difficult. The last level took me awhile but i got there in the end xD Well worth getting this game if you like puzzles and a good challenge. 10/10

This game delivers on what it promises. It's a fun, creative idea for a game that also challenges you to think creatively in order to solve the puzzles, and also allows you to make your own levels. Gameplay is solid. I've encountered no problems or issues. I like having the option to play in windowed mode. If you like humorous games that also make you think without holding your hand, then give this one a shot.

It's a puzzle game, that's it. If you are looking to kill a couple hours, this can suffice. Although, I wouldn't get it unless it is on sale for 50% or more, not too long or challenging (aside from a level 43 and 48, bullshit). 6/10 would try the same level for an hour again.

It's fun, light hearted and easy to play. The puzzles are intelligent and not too hard (one of the issues of many puzzle games). It's also cheap and it's perfect for the half-day tea breaks.

Hey everyone and this is my review about the game! This is a puzzle timing game.
Interface/Menu/Settings
Video Settings information.

There are a couple of different resolution sizes available.
Graphics quality is between Fast and fantastic.
You can toggle between fullscreen or windowed mode.
Volume Settings Information.

There is a music volume slidebar available.
There is a Sound volume slidebar available.
Miscellaneous Information.

There is a reset button.
You can toggle between your cursor and the ingame cursor

About the game.
You are playing as a ball and you will have to kill all zombies while collecting Gold coins. You will roll off a cliff and from there you will have to puzzle around to kill the zombies on your way. You will have to time on the bomb block or other blocks to make things happen and if you do kill a villager by accident you will lose the round. That's pretty much the game. What you see on the steam store is what you can expect. Ingame Information.

Ok soundtrack. Mute worthy.
Cartoony Graphics (Like flash game)
Doesn't have a high replay value.
Could be frustating after awhile.
Alot trial and error.
Low on variety (including Levels)
Has different kind of balls, <.< With different effects.
Miscellaneous Information.

None.

Other things.
Don't always believe in positive reviews on the steam store. Videos and screenshots are the true answers. -------------------
Reviews are always uploaded if i have at least played for 2 hours or more. Unless the game is really garbage and doesn't deserve the 2H limit.
I Give this game a 3/10

This game to me has many flaws and many positive points. We've seen thousands of "ball" physics games, in which you have to make your way through many different levels, using different kinds of weapons/balls, working your way out by timing shoots, creating your mental scheme, anticipate the position of the enemies when you have blown up one or two barrels/crates/bombs and so on. I mean, there's a lot of these games.. physics puzzle games are one of the most played category in Flash websites and not only. This game has some rare features: a button to speed up the level (there are balance games in which you have to wait minutes to see your ball slowly moving XD), a feature that makes your ball re-start when it's been stuck for 30 seconds and a general "lethality" that you have, so that you can drop enemies over yourself and they'll die by getting in contact with you. But there are also many flaws. First of all you absolutely can not play this game in windowed mode, 'cos the game screens often are so big that you can't even understand where you are and where are the triggerable floors/bombs and so on. Moreover, physics here seems a little bit "random".. hence the fact that no one has still written a walkthrough XD On many level it seems that it's more a matter of luck the direction your ball takes.. or that the timing isn't so important, since you get in one way or another to the same endpoint. Graphics are nice, but they're too much "predominant" - these kinds of games need the focus only on the player, the enemies and most of all the things you can trigger: you must see at first glance where are the bombs, where are the enemies located, which tiles you can remove in order to make your path, and this sometimes on Zombie Ballz is difficult to forecast, so you need many trial and error (by the way why space is the key for restarting and not R?! XD). The developers are the same ones of Save Jesus, which was to me much better; many things are exactly the same, like the different balls you can use and the graphics style.. but Save Jesus was more beautiful and good looking than this one, for sure. Some reviewers said that this one is better than the Zup! series but really, it's a different kind of puzzle games and even if you compare the two, Zup! is way better than this. This could be compared to awesome games like Cover Orange or Vampire Physics. And this one fails every contest. But overall, it's still enjoyable and I think it doesn't deserve a negative review. Just bear in mind that if you like this genre of games, there are dozens way better.

I don't like giving bad reviews. But this game deserves one. One has to commend the developers on the variety of puzzles. Each level ( played till level 26) is different and asks for a different approach. But I didn't like anyhing else. The sound is terrible. The zombies grunting and the villagers pleas are anoying and repetitive. I was amused for about 1 Minute, when dubbing the cries as "Hentai" and "Enton" (german name for the pokemon Psyduck). The music will haunt my dreams. The gameplay itself relies on trial and error only. Sometimes you have to time multiple events, like somebody sliding down a slope onto a ramp. Getting this right takes not only severall tries, but has to be almost pixelperfect, or you miss the target. I managed to solve a level without even shooting the ball. It took me a while to realize, that the balls have different properties, and some are better suited than others for each puzzle. But the game activates all unlocked balls, unless you change something on your own. In my case I was struggling with a certain puzzle, because every shot reacted differently. Even now I am not sure if the physics engine really know what it is doing. So, all in all, I have to say, that I didn't like this game at all. I knew after 5 minutes that I didn't like it, but was streaming for an hour. ...and it only got worse, and worse, and worse.

A very fun and challenging game. I found the physics to be excellent and the levels to be much more consistent and far less susceptible to luck than some games of its type. The boss fights are a great test, requiring a good bit of skill and accuracy. There is a tremendous amount of variety in the weapons, altering your gameplay considerably in some instances, and the fun really is in finding precisely which one works on a given level. Finally, I really loved the art style. An overall outstanding game with a very attentive developer, willing to answer players' questions. Most highly recommended. Many thanks! :)
