The Astral Hero is a "template"/asset flip from known Russian asset flip scammers. The "developer" filled out a basic template in the craptastic Construct 2 construction kid (a blight on gaming), changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and put it on Steam as if it was their own game.
This is a non-game... you just move left and right as waves of enemies come at you and die immediately by touching your weapon. Adobe Flash browser games had more sophistication... but then again, this collection of ripped off sprites and someone else's game template was never intended to be a serious, genuine game for PC gamers. It's another Russian asset flip scam infesting Steam and giving indie devs a bad name.
Ardi Studio/Garage Games have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision.
The game features simple, cartoony 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort mobile apps. 3D graphics programming does require a degree of skill and competence and unfortunately not all developers have the budget or talent to deliver this, despite 3D graphics cards hitting the mainstream in the 1990's. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
You don't have to take my word about how bad the game is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. The Astral Hero has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for starting the game (all achievements are granted that way... it's achievement spam), trivial to achieve, but less than 5 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch.
Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only happened once, and isn't consistent with the achievement stats, that show less than 5 percent of players bothered playing the game for any reasonable amount of time. How is it possible for this game to have so many concurrent players who didn't bother engaging with this game? Trading cards. People will use card idling software to collect the cards and sell them, but this won't trigger any achievements in-game.
That tells us people only really bought this game for trading cards, and that's a damning indictment of the woeful quality. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with little merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards.
One of the driving elements of this shovelware game is "achievement spam", that is to say the game features a ridiculously large number of trivial/automatically granted achievements, 80 of them, in fact. It's a damning indictment for this shovelware that people only bought it for easy achievements, and not because it has any serious merit as a real game.
It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk.
The Astral Hero is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 9,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.

Feels like a game someone slapped together over a week of lunch breaks. Only useful for achievement and card farming - but you 100% the achievements before you get all the card drops.

This game is so simple yet good. Good to pass time.
Also this game is very cheap.
However there are few things that i confused and i like to talk about :
1. The purpose of jumping in this game.
I felt that jumping make this game harder and you'll easily get damage from enemy.
2. 5 Different map with no different or unique features make this game feel boring after playing for 20 minutes nonstop.
Need more variation of enemy skin not just the background type of traps, etc to be released asap.
3.Customizeable Character or different character will be a good feature.
Customizeable character or Characters with a set of skills that only avaiable to specific character.
Maybe you can also add gift for achieving specific achievement.
If you add the different character feature, you may make some character avaiable through certain achievement.
But hey, this game is just released, so i expect great feature to be released in the future.
I rate 4.5/10

Played through all of the content in 10 minutes.
5 different levels that all amount to the exact same swarm of differently skinned enemies.
Press right or left with different weapons that all behave in identical ways.
Watch as your different dudes all move indentically.
This is a seriously poor effort.

Simple, fun, cheap, why not? Sure the game play isn't super amazing or anything, but, the fact you made this game in general is awesome, congrats, I say well done, worth the buy. :)

The game is repetitive and boring. All levels look the same and the only difference is the color scheme. The characters in the game are repeated in each level and they look literally the same.
The only thing good I can say about this game is that the achievements are easy to get. 10 minutes and I already got all of them.
I cannot recommend this game unless you just an easy few achievements for your profile stats.
But then again it's only $2 so what do you expect.

As a game, I don't recommend it. But it's worth buying if you have a discount coupon as you get trading cards that can honestly be worth more than you actually paid for the game, in addition, it has a good amount of achievements, so it's good for achievement hunters. But, as a game, this game is really terrible, and barebones. I honestly could recommend it if it was 99 cents or free, but for C$2.59, I can't.
