When I am look around myself, what is it that I see? Leaderships are incompetent, we living in poverty! And so to you, my closest friends, I ask just one pregunta... Who wants to come with me to form their own military Junta! (Uh...what is a "military Junta?") I'm glad you asked! Though "Junta" is a committee it is not what it really means! Its a military government, no president or queen! A Junta is a future, a shining, guiding light! And a heavily-armed stranger knocking on your door at night! (If its such a good idea, then why did you share it with us?) (You hate us!) Well i'm glad you asked! One Junta is a glorious thing, two Junta is better! But not as good as three, or five, or eight working together! Though some Juntas are unscrupulous, and some Juntas are corrupt... We can put aside our differences to prop eachother up! (Oh! Now I understand! Its strength in numbers!) Excactly, I call this... OPERATION CONDOR! Now lets go and recruit more for glorious collaberation Junta plan! Though "Junta" is committee its not what it really means! One persons endless nightmare is to other a perfect dream! Its order when people are doing just what you tell them to! And freedom of the press is the freedom to agree with you! JUNTA! *KA-CHUNK* Paraquaaaaaaaaaaayyy, has endured authoritarian rule for over 100 years! And to keep that intact through war and a changing world is much harder then it appears! And if you assholes think you can come here and steal my thunder with the same idea but a slightly catchier name... then i'll just call mine Junta too! Its basically the same. Though "Junta" is committee its not what it really means! Instead of rule of law, its only rule of the marines! Not evil, bad, or mean, or cruel, unscrupulous, or weird! And if you disagree, then we'll just have you disappeared! JUNTA! You can get one to join Junta with a single word! Especially when its their favorite big, endangered bird! All children of all fatherlands, we ask just one pregunta: Who wants to come with us to- I turn my back five friggin' minutes, and this is what I spy? Unstable, unpopular authoritarians struggling to get by! If you think i'm gonna let this slide, then i've got one... "pregunta:" Who wants a couple billion dollars to help fund their Junta? Though "Junta" is committee its not what it really means! Instead of human rights, its right inhuman tortured scream! And when you give your life for it, it shows its true worth! Who needs to fear go into hell, when its hell here on Earth? Who needs to fear go into hell, when its hell here on Earth? J U N T A !
Tropico 4: Junta Military DLC Review
Junta Military is the first DLC for Tropico 4. This DLC contains one costume for your avatar, one new building, one new extra mission, one new trait, one new island and some decorations. The extra mission is "New Sparta". You will have to build a military society in the island of Almas Perdidas. General Rodriguez declared war on a neighboring island. General Rodriguez will play a big part in this mission, as he will give you various objectives throughout the mission. You will receive some cash from each militarists in the island. This mission has many references to the movie 300. You will be fighting some waves of enemies throughout the mission. In my opinion, this mission makes a good use of the weak military part of the game as combat is quite frequent in this mission. In the end,
you will be defending from a full on assault from the enemy island
. This mission is quite challenging in my opinion, and it should take you about an hour or more to finish. The new building is Bunker, a building that can house 5 soldiers. It is much more expensive version of the guard station. But, unlike guard stations, bunkers don't require generals. Bunkers costs $6000 while guard stations costs $1500. I personally prefer guard stations over bunkers. But they could be very useful in some occasions such as in early game, if you don't have enough college graduates to create a general, bunkers could be a great solution. The veteran trait gives El Presidente better combat skills and improved militarists respect which I don't think the it has much use other than this mission. The other stuffs like costumes, decorations, and Island are nice to have. While I think this DLC has a good mission, I don't think this dlc is worth the full price unless you are planning to buy the collector's bundle, as I don't use its content frequently.

The Bunker is actually quite useful, producing more soldiers than Guard Towers and not needing Generals to build. The Veteran trait is useful in battle. The cost for it all is not worthwhile. A solidly average DLC

This DLC is for all the military fans of the game. The new building Bunker, is a useful addition to the game which enhances the gameplay. It does not require generals.

Great dlc. Adds some content. Although not as much as the others. It would be better if it was given away for free. It is worth taking in a pack with the rest. To be honest, I don't even remember how useful it is. In general, this add-on makes the game too easy.

Building: The second best DLC building. Building an armory (and hiring a general because nobody wants to be one), and then a guard station, is probably more expensive than just getting one of these and worrying about generals later. Good! Trait: Can't see it being that useful. Outfit: dgaf Mission: Receive money to create a big army, I think. Can't recall it too well. Summary: it good

This Junta DLC is the first in the line of Tropico 4 DLCs, which now that the game is more than 5 years old seem to have been reduced in price to a somewhat more reasonable $2.99. Beforehand, they sold for about 5 bucks each. You'll still want to buy the Collector's Bundle on sale if you're interested in this game, though. Anyway, Junta sets the pattern that was to follow, with one new building, trait, outfit, mission, and some decorative items. I'll get back to you on the mission, but I can say the outfit and decorative items are very good, if still just cosmetic. The Veteran trait for your Presidente isn't bad, but it seems a little superfluous, since all it does is make El Presidente a better fighter whenever rebels attack and raise respect with the Militarist faction...when there's a background choice that basically does the same thing except it raises respect for the Nationalists instead. The Bunker building is probably the most used and most problematic aspect. It's just a larger, more expensive Guard Station. You don't need to hire a General to build it, which means you can construct it in a pinch if you desperately need soldiers, although it is a bigger investment. The fact that it gives you double the Guard Post's capacity and that you can hire a General any time after construction places it in overpowered territory. It's also not affected by any perks from your Presidente's rise to power that apply to vanilla military buildings, which is a hidden downside that only exists because DLC buildings aren't fully plugged into the algorithms that affect vanilla ones for some reason. While I don't feel this DLC was thought through as well as it could have, it's one of the better ones overall. If you somehow own Tropico 4 without this DLC and you're a heavy military player, I guess I'd recommend it.

Junta Military was the first DLC released for Tropico 4. Yep, one of many of tiny DLCes, with one mission, one character trait, one costume, one building and a bunch of decorations. The mission is actually quite interesting and isn't so easy. You have to build a fully militarized regime on the island, even including Martial Law edict. While military part is weak in this game and actual fights between soldiers and rebel look clunky and even funny, it's still quite fresh to go for a military approach. Because in normal game no one would do that. Because it's easier to make people happy in kind and democratic approach. And now you will deal with people unhappy over liberty and lower production. Still not too hard. Mission objective force you to have enough army before winning against rebels. As for building, it houses six soldiers with no generals. Yes, store info got it wrong about "five soldiers". It's nice for building army to actually fight rebels. Militarist faction still will demand generals.
