Dude, Stop Reviews
"So, I made a game, right? I filled it with harmless funny puzzles, narrated it a little bit, and then players started making fun of it! They broke the game and ignored my rules! They... they... laughed at me! As if it was some kind of a joke! Why do they have to be so mean?!" - developer of "Dude, Stop".

[DUCK Translation: I love this game, its a great low stakes puzzle game. Andy did an amazing job with the voice acting. Very funny, cool puzzles, great cups.]

For the kids who always want to annoy there parents, you can go and annoy the guy who talks through out the game. And for people who like the game There Is No Game you would like this. And if you like school packets, then you'd like this game and you can do the packets over again, which if you do some (maybe multiple) you can get different item's and achievements sometimes even a special prize! And for those who like puzzles throught out the game you can get some and build a puzzle. And for those who like all of them they'd give this game 5 stars and so do i, so i hope you like this game.

Pretty fun! I don't love that it has only one missable achievement right at the end... be ready for that unless you want to replay the whole thing.

Short but pretty fun puzzle game about pissing off the narrator until he brings out the duck
Also I can't really critique the achievements since I haven't even gotten half of them yet, so that's basically it. The game is well made, the puzzles are nice, the relationship between the narrator and the player is also pretty nice. The game is overall just decent, I would give it a 6/10, but that's only because I'm comparing it to these other games that I've played: Hollow Knight, Detroit: Become Human, The Binding of Isaac (Repentance), Bad End Theater, The Forest, Phasmophobia, Rain World and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, Lethal Company and ect. (ofcourse I put some of these games and most of the others that I haven't listed after Dude, Stop in my list, because it is still a decent game).

This game is amazing. its funny, fun, I love the narrator/developer, and there's plenty more awesome things with it. I highly recommend that you play this game, you won't regret it. There is a reason it is reviewed as "Very Positive".

I was in the mood to play something fairly short and low maintenance. The game also being tagged “Funny” and “Narration” was what urged me to install and give this one a go.
I skimmed through the trailer before I started, and it gave the impression that the main goal here was to be a lil’ menace, which I was down with. It’s a fun concept to defy the narrator and them react to you.
I figured this might be a bit of a reverse “little to the left” situation where you have to find multiple ways to annoy the narrator per puzzle. So I was a little disappointed to learn that to advance to later levels you need to both be a menace and actually play the game the way the narrator wants you to. Doing both gives you different awards, and I assume you need X amount of awards to progress. This is realistically a bit of a non-issue, but I would have preferred being able to make the choice to be helpful or not and been able to have stuck with that throughout the game.
The narrator themselves, I didn’t manage to 100% buy into. My initial feeling was that it didn’t feel natural. The only comparison I can think to make is The Stanley Parable. The narrator in that game talks in an exaggerated voice, and yet it feels so natural and fits perfectly. In that instance it’s very engaging. In comparison this guy just kind of sounds like a guy doing a voice for a game, it’s not as natural.
The humour in this game has also aged badly I would say. Not that there is anything controversial in here or anything like that, it’s just outdated 2010s humour at this point. There were a few lines I just cringed at. It’s a little harsh but i’m not even sure if this would have been considered funny even back then. The game is rated quite highly, so I guess it must have been.
If you’re trying for all the trophies for each level, the voice lines start to repeat too quickly, and it doesn’t take long before it starts to grate. You can turn off the narrator in the settings thankfully, so at least there’s that!
The puzzles are fun enough. I did still end up 100%ing the game so it was definitely engaging enough for me in that regard. There is some variety in the levels and although I didn’t appreciate that you had to do both good/bad solutions, it was still satisfying to get all of the trophies for each level.
One major problem I had with this game was that I got towards the end of the game and one puzzle glitched to the point I couldn’t do anything and the game wasn’t responding. I closed the game and restarted to find it lost all of my progress and I had to start again. This was really annoying and I was pretty close to giving up, but once I knew what the solutions were I figured it wouldn’t take long to get back to that point. It took longer than I expected, so definitely a head-up that this game isn’t the most reliable.
This is a fairly cute little puzzle game, something to waste a bit of time on, but I definitely wouldn’t pay the full asking price for it. I’m fairly certain I got this dirt cheap in a sale or traded for it so for me it was alright. I would have been annoyed if I had spent £12 on this.
Lastly, the achievements are fairly doable. There was one in particular that meant me having to replay the game over again for a third time, and an odd one that you might have to look up,
aka, the perfect move sequence for a 5-ring Tower of Hanoi
.
Overall it’s a very okay game. I would give it a thumb-in-the-middle if I could.

Short but fun and easy game of pissing off the narrator until he brings out the DUCK(who eventually sides with you anyways) I really enjoyed completing the puzzles.
I don't really have any critique except for a few achievements being hard(and one that requires you to replay the game if you missed it) but it's neat.
