Pikuniku Reviews
Pikuniku is an absurdly wonderful puzzle-exploration game that takes place in a strange but playful world where not everything is as happy as it seems. Help peculiar characters overcome struggles, uncover a deep state conspiracy, and start a fun little revolution in this delightful dystopian adventure!

As cute as this game is, I was thoughly surprised when I first played it! I was intrigued by the trailer a few years back and got the game in the eshop for $1.99 or so- I love playing as the little bean and want to try out co-op someday. Very fun little game, would recommend for users who enjoy simple gameplay!

This game has a vibe similar to LocoRoco. The cute and simple art style, combined with these puzzles, physics and characters makes it really lovely for a chill experience. Greatly recommended!

Charming with a lot of interesting yet unrefined directions. I'm a little mixed on this one.
Pikuniku is a casual puzzle platformer that has a vague idea of what it wants to be but never fully commits to it. The art direction and tech supporting it is bold, fluid, and original, yet there are few areas that highlight it, with many areas simply being vast expanses of a single flat color. The soundtrack, composed by musician Calum Bowen has hints of his unique style but rarely goes further beyond minimalistic background noise. The gameplay is clearly aimed at a casual audiences, yet the boss fights have difficulty spikes that I imagine casual players would find unreasonably difficult. The dialogue aims to be silly and lighthearted but more often than not it falls flat and the humour isn't as prevalent as I'd imagine this type of game to be when I compare it to games like Earthbound, Undertale, and Helltaker.
Overall, I thought it was a pleasant 4 hours with no real highs or lows that ended up being slightly forgettable.

The fastest way to describe this game would be "light", light gameplay, light humor, light visuals, light music. It's like eating just angel food cake with nothing on it, it's sweet and can be satisfying but not everyone will like that and might end up wanting something else. For what it's worth, I think this is a perfectly fine little game. A nice bite sized thing if your looking to spend a few hours on something that you don't need to think all that hard about.
Only real complaint I can give is the movement itself can start feeling slow at times, and it doesn't quite feel like a 13 dollar game to me... Maybe 11 or 10 dollars but that's just me. Otherwise, again, it's a perfectly fine game.

If you enjoy playing super chill, cute, and casual games, with some nice humor in them, Pikuniku is a game for you. I haven't finished the game yet but I've found myself coming back to it any time I want something light and easy to play! Very easy game and controls for anyone to adapt to and play. I play it at the end of stressful days. And I love the cute and quirky humor! It always puts a smile on my face.

Pikuniku is one of my favorite games because of its unique silly charm. The game features many different collectibles, puzzles, and fun characters to interact with. The soundtrack was made by Calum Bowen, an amazing artist. His music works perfectly with the sound design of the goofy audio you hear throughout the game. This game also includes co-op with nine levels, two being racing levels, and a mini game named baskick. This is really fun, yet it barely has any replay value and I hope the developers make a DLC. This game is worth it at full price, and even more on sale. Definitely worth a try if you love silly games.

Damn this game was a fun time, Gameplay is simple and available for everyone. Funny Dialogue and story. Its a game that non-gamers can have an enjoyable time playing. The game's short (around 3-4 hours for a first time playthrough) but that works in the game's favor as you don't get bored of it. The only gripe I have with the game is that there are missable trophies in the final world (preventing the "Collector" achievement) and missing them will require a full restart of the game in order to get but the game is short enough to where a repeat playthrough doesn't take long. Its a fun game, Definitely a recommend!
