While I would argue this is more a tech demo than a real game, but, this demo is a really cool one. I see this could be an killer game, but unfortunately, you only get one room with "touch randomly appearing bobble" thingy.
Recommend it to try if you catch it on discount.

Good game. Some imbalance in scoring and difficulty due to apparently randomized spawns that don't check the drone's current location. It's possible to be at the spawning point and artificially get full points with no effort. At the same time you could get a bad spawn theoretically and lose points due to no fault of your own. However it's a fun game and this is just some feedback.

Really polished and fun. The controls are really great, and it's just a great example of a relatively simple concept that's been executed very well. The graphics and music are a great fit too. Especially loved the missile levels.

I'm a huge fan of Drone Hero. What a perfect example of a physics based arcade game in VR. The subtlety of the drones controls is really nice. The colored squares, that provide the light show environment. are way cool. The music is cool as well. I can even appreciate how the floor has a well worn look. Every VR player should own Drone Hero.

I don't know how I missed this game, or it didn't get more buzz in the community. As someone who has flown RC helis, and really likes The Lab - Xortex, and decided to get VR over getting into FPV drones - this game is amazing! Controls great, and fills the urge to fly a small, hyper-responsive, 3D remote controlled vehicle. Without the pain of crashing, and repairs, and cost. Had I known, I would have paid $10 for it. At $1, it's a steal I feel remorseful about.
Buy this amazing hidden gem if anything I said above rings a bell. Just buy it even if it didn't. It's fun as hell!

Picked this up on sale at £0.71, but having played a few levels I would not have minded paying the full price either. By the looks of things it's a fairly short game, but one that'll be fun to play over again and again, trying to improve my score. In VR it looks good and feels good. It gives an excellent sense of being there, and the controls for the drone make lots of sense and feel very natural.
What's even better is there are a couple or so options that allow for getting the control just right.
[strike]Only slight downside I've noticed with it is that, when playing with a Quest 2, via Link, if I pop the headset up for a moment, causing the game to pause, it loses the connection to the controllers and that's it, there's no more playing. I have to kill the game and start again.[/strike]
[strike]Not something I'm inclined to do much, but could be a problem for some.[/strike]
Turns out it isn't popping up the headset that does this, it's actually if the game window on the desktop isn't the focused window. I was popping up the headset to start recording in OBS and leaving OBS as the focused window. Alt-tabbing back to the game window fixes this.
Overall though: yeah, lots of affordable and simple VR fun!

I like it! I use to fly a little quad drone like this one at home but my dog would chase it and drive me nuts barking at it as I did flyby passes. Now I can do the same without the dog barking constantly annoying the heck out of my neighbors. lol
In all seriousness, it's a cool unique game. I find it enjoyable and well designed, it's simple yet challenging enough to offer enough replay value to keep coming back for more. Love how simplistic and immersive it is in VR. I recommend it based on my experience.
Works great with the HP Reverb G2!

Doesn't work with a drone controller (BetaFPV). No settings/options menu to attempt to manage this. Can't progress through tutorial with keyboard. Unable to exit without ALT-F4. Unfortunately I left this in my library for more than two weeks which apparently means Steam won't refund me, so now I'm stuck with this pos in my library forever.

I'm impressed! It's early days but the game is well polished and makes good and innovative use of VR. It's like having a private games room in a club with a serious lighting system and a wild sound track to boot (although if you suffer from photosensitivity, steer clear).
The control scheme is simple and easy to pickup while making excellent use of the Vive controller. There's also a great feeling of progression as you get through the levels and the difficulty level seems about right. That said, it'll take some serious skillz to master it...
If you're looking for a fun VR ready game with a decent sideorder of challenge this is definitely worth a look. It'll be cool to see where this goes - multiplayer especially could be really cool.
