So, I'm a console freak, not at all PC gamer. Created a freaking Steam account just to play this, on my 3 years old notebook, and I'm happy it works like a charm (I cannot wait for the Switch version, which I'll definitely re-buy to play on my beloved switch Lol). Anyways, the game was worth all the wait! I love it! Is much prettier in-game than what you see in the screenshots. The music is awesome matching the visual and mood. And the puzzles are quite something. It's cool that some puzzles you can just ignore if you're not in the mood, but let me tell you, you're in for a GOOD time if you like hardcore puzzles :D Still need to finish. Hopefully I will love and won't have to comeback and change this review Lol. It gets crazy hard after a while! I love that :D

8\10 for me,this is a puzzle game you must move objects, avoid traps, use spirit of yourself for solve puzzles etc. it's not a "fight\shoot2 game For now i play only the first level but i like it already, i was able to find 7 souls (i think i miss the gold or 1 hidden) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUjT2YFmU6k Walktrough Chaper 2 8 Souls + 2 Golden Souls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G76IrKwhLHA in the video i AVOID the storytelling for NOT spoiL it this game is very originaL gameplay\idea, you can use a sort of spirit\space time of yourself it's very funny, so you do something then when you die the spirit repeat what you do before, so you can use this for solve puzzles also you can teletransport yourself like goku,by use some sort of totems where your spirit go after you die...this is very fun too the game it's not easy..it's challenging very... so if you is someone that easy get frustrated for can't solve puzzles easy you is adviced about this is a game that require time and think how to solve with calm and enjoy,is not a game for who "hurry" the game has also hidden "souls" that you must find, this make so the game be replayable, challenge you, when you find one soul the game will show you how much souls you find already Graphic and audio is good game has storytelling made by sort of graphic book draws fable that is very original i hope i make a video Review soon at iTA360.com maybe if i have time Advice: You can't buy this game by think it is "JustCause4" or "GTAV"... before to buy this game you must understand this is a indie game... and so you play it for enjoy it same it is... i buy this game with my money and i'm happy about it,i feel satisfed since the first level\chapter already,i still have more fun with this than with gotham knight (i ask to steam to refund me gotham knight but they reject refund because they say i play it 2 hour, jesus crist if i not play the game how i know that is bad...i'm still very mad for this) Menu can have some problems (maybe sometime can't fix sound volume, maybe sometime can't fix resolution) but i mean come on we are not 5 year kids...important is we enjoy the game gameplay who care about the menu,i don't. I'd be curious to know how fast did the other players solved some of the puzzles!

I really enjoyed figuring out the harder puzzles. The game has an unique mechanic that continues to challenge throughout.

This is... okay. Generally, it looks unfinished or like a good looking Flash game from a random website. The cutscenes and totems with the skulls look decent. This game is not great - it's mostly walking and jumping awkwardly in the beginning but if you are patient, there seems to be upgrades to your jump height and speed (well I interacted with some totems and it seemed like I was faster and could jump higher afterwards). I'm not sure what kind of person i recommend this too but it's a good enough puzzle game to play on Halloween maybe or whenever you want to play games with a halloweenish vibe.

Got this game because the 'ghost' mechanic looked interesting in the trailer, but upon playing the game, I find that it isn't that well implemented. The puzzles involving it lack elegance. Apart from that, the mechanic is never really explained in-game, so expect some guesswork and trial and error before figuring it out. Honestly, the ghost mechanic is far from the biggest problem I found with the game. Half the puzzles don't even involve the ghost mechanic. Instead, they require precise platforming with very strict timing which is a pain to do because the controls are very clunky and floaty. The breaking point for me was the scarcity of save points. While there are plenty of checkpoints, checkpoints don't keep your progress if you quit the game. The only way to save your game is by activating these special save points, but you usually have to go through 4-5 puzzles before reaching one. I quit playing the game after getting stuck at a 'puzzle' which required extremly precise platforming and strict timing. I had solved a few frustrating puzzles before that, but because I couldn't reach the next save point, I lost all my progress after exiting, which led me to quit the game for good out of frustration. There is a type of optional collectible in the game which is in most cases locked behind optional hardcore puzzles. These are quite challenging to get, so imagine losing your progress of getting one just because you couldn't get to a save point in time! Baffling decision by the developers not to have the game save your progress after each checkpoint/ collectible. A puzzle game should really save progress after each puzzle. The graphics and the audio are actually pretty good, but unfortunately the rest of the game is rather amateurish.

I appreciated the originality of the puzzles which you have to solve with one and then two ghosts replicating your previous actions. You basically need to understand the help you require, and actually to aid yourself using different timeframes. Quite clever. Regarding the overall game theme, it is rather dark and obviously metaphoric but it is part of what intrigued me in the first place. Let's see how the end will turn out.

I had the chance to play Altero a long time before, at a convention, so I didn't want to miss the release. I don't remember which chapter it was, but I really liked the way it combined its universe and gameplay. You play as a ghost Voodoo doll, and the puzzles usually involve dying so that your ghost can help you. He always repeat what you did before death, so the key is to make him do things like operating a pressure plate for you to advance. This can be pretty tricky, especially when it comes to timing. The atmosphere is top notch. The art is crisp, and the soundtrack very fitting.

First, I must say that I fell in love with the soundtrack, I would definitely purchase it if it ever gets available. Now, the gameplay is very clever and makes the puzzles deliciously interesting to solve. You need to figure out the pattern your character must follow and die so that its ghost partners with your present character. Don't worry you start getting familiar with the concept along with the first puzzles. I had a couple of hours of puzzling-fun so far and I like it!
