Inscribed Combat Shield (One handed weapon) The inscribed combat shield counts as a one handed weapon that takes the slot of a pistol. It doesn’t provide any damage but increases the health and armor of the Captain.

The armor gives a buff to health 25+ & gives melee attacks a small AOE. (also looks cool) the Shield gives a 25% resistance to all ranged damage

DLC adds armor and shield (+25 health, +25 armor and 25% ranged damage reduction instead of a pistol).
Cute but expensive. It is better to take in a pack with other addons. It amazes me that there are so many cosmetic dlcs for this game. On the other hand, why not. On sale, it's pretty decent. How tired I am of writing reviews for identical dlc.

it is an ok DLC I like the shield and the visual and usefulness of the items , what is beyond me is what they abandoned The Last Stand mode, they could make a new The Last Stand with improved graphics and some base heroes, then selling other heroes and even maps, DLC hear etc, it is mind blowing why they don't want to make money, I love to play with the Orks, The Ork Warboss and other different types of heroes would be an amazing addition

This DLC comes with 2 wargears:
- A shield which increases your armour by 25 (although it's supposed to be 50) and reduces ranged damages you take by 25%. However, it replaces the hand gun, so you won't be able to shoot nor throw the shield.
- An armour with a low armour rating, which increases your damage by 25% and, for every melee hit you land, does extra damage to the entire squad you hit (rather than just the target).
Although I never use the armour, I like the shield. Even if the Space Marine isn't as offensive as some other heroes (e.g. the Tau for example), it does increase his overall toughness.
With the proper wargears, I was able to tank a huge chunk of Anvil of Khorne wave 19 by myself, long enough for my team mates to clean up.

The "new" Wargear pieces are pretty useful (most space marine players i've seen use at least one of them). Weirdly both pieces gain a unique paint job from the [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/56536/Warhammer_40000_Dawn_of_War_II_Retribution_Dark_Angels_Pack/] Dark Angels (DLC) [/url] but not from the [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/56487/Warhammer_40000_Dawn_of_War_II__Ultramarines_Pack/] Ultra Marines (DLC) [/url] or the [url=https://steamdb.info/app/203600/] Imperial Fists (DLC) [/url].
