Robonauts is a console ported low poly physics based platformer with a simple gimmick (that's been done dozens of times before), instead of flat platforms you jump between different "planets" each with their own gravity well, so instead of running left and right on static platforms, you run around the circumference of various circles. What an incredible innovation, surely this will revive the old, dead platformer genre. Oh wait, it didn't.
The game also features a "shooter" component as you pick up a power armour that lets you shoot things. Yeah robots wear power armour now, whatever.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision.
The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with.
Because this is designed for consoles, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the inferior console gaming appliances that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate compromises and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was a second thought for the console-centric developers. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for consoles forces upon a game. Once more, console peasants have made gaming worse for everyone.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Robonauts has the far too high price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.

Robonauts is a visually stunning arcade like game that is in my opinion very underrated. I see people commenting on the difficulty of this game and I agree, some levels are very hard, it exponentially gets harder, but that’s the whole point of arcade games. You’re supposed to die quite a lot. The music in Robonauts is banging and really helps tie everything together. I like that there’s a lot of variety within the twelve levels this game has, as well as a hard mode and mission ranks. However, this game is not perfect. You cannot manually aim, the game aims for you, and I can see why some people would not like that. The story in this game does not really matter, which is a shame, but it is better than without one at all. Some enemies are not balanced very well. The eye monster that shoots a lot of bullets at once can two or three shot you and if you don’t see it coming, you’re pretty much dead. Also, the flying enemies that try to home in on you spawn more quickly than you can get rid of. I’d say that if they implement a few balance changes, a leaderboard, and Steam cloud save, Robonauts would be a banging game. I still recommend playing through it, maybe even with a friend, since it has a coop mode as well.

Game is ok-ish. Music is superb.
PS: controller is kind of a must, playing with keyboard is possible but you'll probably have to shuffle around the keybinds until you find something that works for you

I've played this game a lot on the Nintendo Switch with a friend of mine and yeah, this game's really fun, but also challenging, with almost every level being a different task and always in different ways. Especially after the first levels oh boy if it's gonna be tough, but don't worry: co-op exists for a reason right? ;)

Game is great... For a mobile game, not great for a PC game.
There is very little information available on the screen for what items you are looting, and everything is auto target, there is no way to disable this. Game is also too easy, brainless in a way, 10 minutes in, and I stopped caring.
