a friend of mine had this for the ps2 and we would always get stuck at the big gator level, and i was sure it must be the final level cause i was playing for hours before that, right? right? It took me a little more than an hour to get to that level and finally getting over it. I can finally see what the whole game looks like

I'd really love to recommend this game, but unfortunately it has just one too many flaws to make it truly enjoyable. First and foremost - the save system. You cannot save your game manually and there are no mid-level checkpoints. If you die you have to replay the whole stage. While some people like the additional challenge, I honestly do not. Not only is it dull to replay the last 15 to 20 minutes over and over again, it also discourages exploration. Because each wrong step might undo your whole progress, I simply priorize progress over exploration. Which leads me to the next point: Controls. I play on SteamDeck and the default configuration is horribly unintuitive. I suspect that the game swaps some buttons. Keyboard emulation could fix that, but it also makes Indy control rather erratically. Indy is generally more on the clunky side. He can't adjust jump trajectories in mid-air which makes it necessary to line him up exactly before jumping. Since the camera is blocked by walls, jumping from narrow blocks is often a game of luck - where losing means restarting the stage. All in all this could be a good game, but it is completely destroyed by clunky controls and a lazy save system.

The worst Indiana Jones game to have ever been made so far... The borderline broken gameplay and cringe-as-fuck voice lines are as much of an insult to your intelligence as they are an insult to the fans, Harrison Ford, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. As a fan of Indy since childhood, play Fate of Atlantis and The infernal Machine instead.

I just completed this for the first time. I really enjoyed it but be warned about a really high difficulty spike towards the end of the game that almost had me rage quitting. I’m glad I picked this up and persevered because I thought it was really well done. There are some platforming and glitching issues which can be annoying. You cannot save where ever you want but it saves after each loading screen, thankfully they are all pretty close together and I only had to replay the last few levels a bunch because they were tough! It has that nice Indiana Jones charm from the old movies. It’s worth a sale price. If you like the old Tomb Raider games you might appreciate this game It also plays really good on the SteamDeck at 1080 60fps but you need to copy some modified files.
