I never felt the need for the rating that shows the horizontal thumb (not thumbs up, not thumbs down) until now. The game looks amazing. From my short time with the game I can already see that there is a lot of depth to it. There are an ungodly amount of collectibles. For a huge fan of the collect-a-thon genre, this vast amount is overwhelming and overkill. There is a timer. My timer ran out, then it starting counting up, rather than down. I'm not sure what that's all about--perhaps an accomplishment for beating a target time... but how? The 1st level was really long and I came nowhere near to collecting everything. There is very little guidance or story, instead the game just throws you in to the action. While super long introductory cut scenes are annoying, the complete absence of them is worse. I'm sure many people will LOVE this game. It just wasn't for me.

Three times I made it to the end of the level. Three times I was blasted by a continual wave of wasps. Three times I was sent back to the start to do it all again (you can't remap the controls - more later). Guess what. I'm not doing it again, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else did either. Until they add restore points to this (or fix the controls) I wouldn't touch it. How the hell did they think no restore points was a good idea? Admittedly the levels are short but you can only belt a frog into a pond so many times before you tire of it. It might look and sound good, but the "one step forward, two steps back" approach is just brutal. And those controls. Hit the left trigger to "shoulder punch" to pick something up (because I always shoulder punch shit when I want to pick it up), then, while still holding the left trigger, move into position and then jump with a and throw with x. Is this baby's first video game? Pick up with x, throw with x. I'm not a bloody contortionist. Come back when they've fixed this mess.

I really liked the look of this game and after a long time of having many platform games released that have been any good but the bad first. 1. The difficultness ramps up very quick indeed and in fact on world 1-4 it is very unforgiving and you find yourself re doing certain parts over and over again to the point of getting fed up as you get put so far back in the game. 2. If you lose all your lives in a level no matter how far in you are you end up right back at the start of the level and have to go through it all again maybe an option to continue would be good here. 3. With it being an isometric view the controls can be a bit off as when you think you are jumping a short way you end up doing a full jump and 9 times out of 10 end up losing a life. 4. Difficult gameplay doesn't encourage you to continue with the game as it gets very frustrating in place. The Good, 1. Excellent graphics very colourful and well animated. 2. Nice sound and music. 3. Brings back retro memories I'll wait now until the next update and hopefully the learning curve wont ramp up so quick but for an early access gamme not bad

The groundwork here is remarkable! This is a very well made and fast paced platforming action game that doesn’t do the hand-holding you’re used to with some really clever ideas. It’s a bit too unforgiving in places where a single misstep throws you back quite far or bonus stages that are lost until repeating the whole level but it’s exciting and the colorful graphics look amazing. Performance is great too.
