Illyriad - Grand Strategy MMO Reviews

This game has probably the best community you will come across for a Sandbox/ Empire Builder/ PvP War game. This MMORTS Sandbox is deep with lore and history. Many veterans still play the game and help with forward knowledge. There are many ways to play Illy as well. Be that, military pvp, hunting and crafting, harvesting, gold farm for your military. Oh did i mention you can have two accounts! The game is slow, very slow, so do not expect to do anything in a day or week. This is the perfect game to play in the background while you are growing until you are large enough to get sucked in entirely. There is a paid currency option but it is not entirely P2W. You can speed up trade units, increase production of a certian basic resourse, cosmetics like avatar, town skins, and you can also give your military a small buff of 10%. These buffs are minimal at the later stages in game play. Each towns research is independent of each other. This cannot be effected by prestige thus you will have to do research, even if it is minimal until you are able to capture researched towns to save you 2.5 years of research. Devs are active for such an old game and updates are planned for further Faction play, PvE, and some recent changes to the troop movements. This game is not for everyone but is worth the look. I found this game on page 7 of the app store before it was released on Steam and I am still playing 13 years later, even if I did take a small break. Did I mention this is the best community in all of gaming?
