Unlockable Pack unlocks a lot of things and it will effectively result in ruining your game if you never finished it before.
If you're going to play the game for the first time and want the full Saints Row 3 experience you should disable this DLC. It's more like "paid cheats" than a DLC.
I bought it on purpose AFTER I finished the game and playing with DLC enabled feels like "new game plus". It doesn't mean I'm unhappy with the purchase, I knew it. But I don't recommend it for new players.

I love the idea of this, but hate the implementation (and the bit where it cost money to get this mis-feature).
Instead of letting you decide whether or not to unlock everything... once you start a new game, you get a bunch of unlocks, and are forced to pick an area of the city to "unlock all" in. Even if you've not completed the game, and wanted to see what all of it was like, the only option is to disable the DLC completely. Restarting the game only works if you can disable.
If you're playing on a streaming service, guess what... you can't disable the DLC on most of them, so enjoy your new-found "U-Win" button whether you wanted it or not.

It's not that spectacular, really. At some point in the storyline you make choices and depending on that choice you get one bonus; the bonus of the other choice cannot be acquired for that playthrough. All this DLC does is give you both bonuses as soon as you activate it.
When you're late in the game or finished with the storyline these bonuses will do you little good (except maybe the hood take-over if you didn't choose that one). With a new game you start out with some extra cash and respect, as well as a bonus to gaining both; in the long run I don't see how this would affect gameplay that much.
If you expect this DLC to give you every upgrade at Friendly Fire and on your phone unlocked and activated: nope, it doesn't do that.

Hello friends! I decided to write for the saints row 3 dlc's to judge their worth. This one is kinda like a cheat. It opens every upgrade before you beat the main game.
NOTE: That is all i have to say for this one. Im at 50/50 here because this is consider a cheat..

I don't know who needs to hear this, but YOU CAN uninstall dlc. In your library, right click the game in the side menu, go to properties and choose dlc. Here you can enable and disable which packs you want. Took me a minute to figure it out since the guide I found was out of date.

Non-essential "cheat" DLC. Unlockable Pack gets the following:

Choice rewards from the following missions; The Belgian Problem, The Ho Boat, STAG Party, deckers.die, My Name is Cyrus Temple, Zombie Attack, and Murderbrawl XXXI.
As with the Bloodsucker Pack, you're best to avoid buying/enabling this until you've completed the story. If you have bought this you can disable it from the game's page in your library. I like having everything in the game, however I only enable this once I've finished all the missions as it completely breaks the standard progression of the game as it unlocks all the choice based rewards from various missions from the very beginning of the game. As I've said, having everything is nice, afterall it let's you do more in this open-world sandbox game. Best bought with the Ultimate Franchise Pack.

I understand all the annoyance of this pack, I really do, but it actually really helps with the decision making for the missions that have the choice. It does what the final mission called Three Way does. Spoilers here. Three Way gives you the choice to either save your friends but let the final gang boss escape or kill him at the expense of your friends. Choose the former and you do the mission "Gangsters in Space". Do the later and you get the mission "Stag Film". However upon completing one ending the game decides to give you a do-over and let you do the other ending letting you get both sets of rewards. This pack is like that only you can't replay the mission. Sure it ruins future playthroughs but it also lets you choose the option you want. With me I always choose the option that we set out to complete. Belgian Problem: It was blow the tower, Ho Boat: It was bring the hos in for the Saints, you get the picture. But I always wanted the other reward as well. This pack eliminates that tough decision so that you can go through the game as I did but still get the other rewards. I do recommend this for people like me. People who want a cheap win, here you go and people who don't want this pack because they don't like it I can see where you are coming from.
