Out of all of the weapon/clothing DLCs, this one has the most content and the most useful content. Furthermore the weapon is fully upgradable just like the normal ones. Makes you think whether it wasn't cut from the whole game prior to release.

This was another great game of this franchise.
And honestly: There's nothing negative to say.
The campaign was a lot of fun, really amazing.
I enjoyed the gameplay, story and everything.
Especially the coop mod was really awesome.
Deep Silver made a ton of DLC's for this gem.
Some of them are really nice and worth a try.
But some of them are just a cash grab trash.
I love DLC's that increase the game playtime.
This one doesn't do that, so I don't like that.
It's basically a bunch of new items, that's it.
You won't get any playtime value out of it.

Some people like the outfit I like the Grenade Launcher, I would try to avoid using it until later in the game as it unlocks early and can overpower early on compared to other weapons. But it’s nice to blow stuff up with your portable explosive device, not worth getting on its own, only buy on sale or bundle!

Non-essential cosmetic/weapon DLC. [b]Explosive Combat Pack[/b] gets you 1 outfit, and 1 weapon listed below.[list][*]Empire Fighter Outfit: Futuristic soldier outfit made up of 6 parts.[*]M2 Grenade Launcher:[/list]The Empire Fighter Outfit isn't that good looking, but the Battalion Pants and boots can be worn seperately thankfully. The M2 Grenade Launcher is my favorite explosive slot weapon in the game, it's extremely fast to take down brutes and the grenades can be exploded before the 2s fuse by using the grenade key. Best bought with the Ultimate Franchise Pack or Saints Purple Ops Pack.

As far as Saints Row: The Third, Aesthetic DLC packs go, this was one of the ones I liked. You get the M2 Grenade Launcher, and the Future Soldier Outfit. Both are quite cool, one blows stuff up, the other makes you look cool doing it.
[u][b]-Detailed breakdown review-[/b][/u]
[b]Story:[/b] There's no story change or addition with this DLC
[b]Gameplay:[/b] You unlock the Future Soldier Outfit, and the M2 Grenade Luncher. There isn't much else to say about it. You fire Grenades into your enemies and whatch them explode into giblets that would make the Diablo dungeon crawler's proud.
[b]Achievements:[/b] There are no achievements directly tied to this DLC.
[b]Price:[/b] Explosive Combat Pack is priced at $1.99. There are several bundle deals you could chose to get more DLC: Saints Purple Ops Pack for $3.99. The Full Package for $19.99. Lastly the Ultimate Franchise Pack for $54.99.
[b]Conclusion:[/b] This DLC pack wasn't a game changer, but it was a nice addition to pick up with the Full Package or Franchise Pack bundles. All in all, not a bad DLC.

I use the pants from this outfit on several of my characters. The torso clothing colors oddly (it mixes the existing green/gold and what you're trying to add, so you can't go pure white, for example). The grenade launcher is great early on (since the RPG isn't available for half the game), but you'll likely switch to the RPG when it unlocks.

This is great content to have in your library. It brings you a new weapon and some really cool cloths to play around with. The weapon is a grenade launcher that can really pack a punch and take out almost anything. The cloths kind of look like something from "Star Wars". I've used the storm trooper looking helmet alot and its pleasing to the eyes. This is fun content to have in your game.

Hello friends! This dlc only adds one new costume and a weapon. I suggest only getting this if you get the season pass dlc. Otherwise it is not really worth it.
Recommended if you have the season pass only.
