It's not an insulting game; but I didn't really find it fun. The game feels repetitive really quickly and it tutorialized me to the point of frustration
The game revolves around you planning your moves based on what the enemy will do; which is kinda neat. But it's annoying when you're going to be moving a bunch of mechs around and the game gave you no warning that you'll have friendly fire going on or anything. So you can pretty easily end up killing your own guys
Mech gearing feels like a Ubisoft game where the mech parts are more about the level they are and higher level is all that matters over something like Armored Core mech customization where the gear itself is unique and has ups and downs It also doesn't feel like the gearing system would ever get super creative as a result. No ridiculous badass mecha things coming into play; more keeping in line with basic weapons with higher stats
Also the lack of voice acting kind of just gets annoying quickly when it's so much reading and talking. Given most of it's system AI or staticy codec talk; you could have just gotten an AI to do it for cheap and it would have worked fine. But AI is controversial I suppose

TLDR: Get this game. It's not expensive and I've gotten my money's worth out of it. If it's on sale, it's definitely worth the buy.
I'm a sucker for a good mech game. I love Mechwarrior, Armored Core and Heavy Gear. This game uses a aesthetic that I discovered back when Peter Molyneux was toying around with Godus; and it works here very well. I can play this game on my overspent desktop computer or on my travel laptop and don't have to worry about it overburdening the systems.
Story is rather simple. It's World War X, and your Austria. There's in game dialogue that's presented in text; but it's bite sized, not like some of those DnD games. No voice acting either.
Gameplay is like those turn-based real-time tactics games that you see along the vein of Warhammer 40K's Armada. You and your opponents both move at the same time, but you can see where they're going and who they will attack. It can get a wee chaotic at times, and the game doesn't hold your hand. If you're not paying attention, you can crash your mechs into each other and cause quite a stir in your plan. There's a variety of weapons and armors, and a paintjob system that lets you customize your mechs rather nicely.
Sound and Music are a little flat, I often have my own music or something playing under my game while playing. It's not bad, but it doesn't really keep you invested. It's background music, and it unfortunately stays in the background. You could play some Armored Core or Mechwarrior music behind it, and get some amping; but if you truly want to get your blood going, get Contra la Luna playing while fighting a big boss...
I've also played this using Windows 10/11 and Linux Mint (Ubuntu) and have had nothing but joy in playing it (Mint does take a bit to load, so be patient; you may get a 'kill or wait' dialog box. Just press wait.)

I really want to like this game, but I'm having trouble with overheating GPU. My 2020 pc has i9 32Gb with rtx3090 16gb liquid cooled radiator, finally forced me to buy a new monster pc with BIGGER uber liquid cooling, not cheap 4k. Would be very disappointed with the purchase if it still overheats.
I'm playing with minimum graphics settings and its still overheating. I would only recommend for gamers confident in their pc cooling system. otherwise its not playable. can't complete long missions without this game killing my GPU.

holy...
if someone claims they are revolutionizing turn based strategy and they are not these people, they are lying...
unbelievable this is not made by an AAA studio and sitting at 7.6GB of data, this sets a new milestone, its like a dream game came true
