This is one of the best co op experiences I have ever had. The hordes are a blast. The maps are fun. Great game.

A very special game to me. Whether it be coming up with different builds, following along with the story, or completing tough combat challenges, there's always fun to be had.

I do not have very many hours on the Steam version but I have dumped a ton of hours on the PS4 version and love this game. Recently re-bought it on steam and having fun replaying through.

This game is incredibly fun, but only if you treat it like L4D2 and just ignore the progression by playing on the modded realm. Otherwise it is an unbelievable slog to get your characters leveled and geared.

Good game. Avoid the Vermintide 2 official discord though as it is unmoderated & people talk & converse about all kinds of disgusting & illegal topics. It's a shame Fatshark does not take its discords seriously. Users talking about pedophilia is a huge red flag.

I VERY rarely play games like this (with the exception of L4D2 which has some very key differences) but honestly, this game is great, mechanically, it's amazing, (for me personally) the lore behind the missions is a little over my head (I don't know much about Warhammer 40k) but coming from someone who knows nothing about it, this game is a lot of fun, with or without friends (which it's obviously better with friends) The game could use a LITTLE more optimization with things like how joining a friend's game can be a bit hit or miss and require a few restarts, but other than that, great game!

I actually don't mind this game too much, it doesn't grab me in any special way, every time I do jump in it's worked alright etc. The main reason I'm voting nay on this is because it's a PVE game with kernel level anticheat. I just don't get it at all, that seems pretty heavy handed for something that has no competitive edge or advantage and user interactions are entirely optional or by consent (aka you are not forced to play against other players as the only option for gameplay). If the game ever gets non-kernel AC or has EAC removed down the line, I'll happily adjust my review accordingly.

I once glanced over a review that called this a Left 4 Dead wannabe with micro-transactions. This goes to show that fucking nimrods exist everywhere. The game is really cool, transactions are voluntary and you don't need them to get stronger items or anything like that. Combat system really works well and the characters have such cool personalities, the fact that when you throw a bomb and hit absolutely nothing and the character in-game actually talk trash to you about is my favorite detail. The classes are fun, the DLC classes are really fucking fun, the DLC where you can play the game roguelite style is also pretty good, the game overall is one of my favorites and once you start progressing it's hard to let go. But do not buy it full price.
