Keep it for the phone or make it proper! Game doesn't even have a EXIT option!

Playing this is a relaxing activity. It is a lot more fun than I anticipated to build "universes" in the sandbox mode and simulate stuff around them. Getting some screenshots to share some of the crazier arrangements is a pretty nice touch.

Bought the game and the levels were alright but there was no exit button so I had to leave using task manager, second time I booted up the game none of the levels loaded (Not even the title screen). Make it work and I'll play it

This game is absolutely stunning. The addictiveness and simplicity that characterizes this game somehow made me play 7 hours straight yesterday. I highly recommend if you're into puzzles games. It's fun playing with gravity :). It get's challenging later on, but feels awesome when you actually get it down.

Very relaxing and quite enjoyable, yet can also be quite challenging at times! The sandbox mode is really fuck to mess around with :)

It's been a while since I've played a game where I can just sit down and not think about the game. For a puzzle game, that doesn't sound like a good idea. But, in Orbit, it just works. Somehow. You feel like you are part of the game. You understand everything, and how things are supposed to be put together. It takes some trial and error, especially in the later levels, but it all makes sense. But why did I mention not thinking about the game? It lets your mind wander. You think about the thoughts you haven't thought in years. The people you haven't spoken to since high school. The "what if"s in life. You're looking at a while screen, watching multi-colored orbs orbit black orbs with numbers in them. And it unlocks your mind. You unconsciously think of what you do in the level, while you consciously think about everything else. And I'm glad to play a game like that again. Short & serious review time: It's a short, albeit fun puzzle game revolving around gravity and orbiting planets around black holes. You have to have x amount of planets orbit around a black hole (or multiple black holes) to complete a level. The puzzles aren't hard, yet some can be frustrating because they expect you to, for example, orbit 3 max size planets (that are attracted to eachother) around a tiny black hole. Also, this game is short. 45 levels for maybe an 45-60 minutes of gameplay. For $10, that's not a lot. However, the game has user created levels and a level creator. The user levels are either puzzle levels with an objective, or sandboxes where you can mess around with the physics or watch a simulation. In short, don't expect your brain to be challenged. This is a casual puzzle game, where you want to spend an hour and relax and think about life and the universe, or something like that.

I launched this game and spent 45 mins not completing a single campaign level LOL. Instead I was hopping around between random user-created levels. I casted to a friend as I was playing and pretty much every "random" level entertained us for far longer than I'd expected. I really believe in this game's "infinite content" sell, the sandbox seems to be powerful enough and the users creative enough that I can't imagine ever running out of quirky things to see. It's a gravity sim after all, and gravity is beautifully chaotic.

Great game, but not enough player-made levels to play (does it show all of them?). Sandbox is obviously not optimized for the mouse.

Bought this game after I watched a Youtuber recommend it. Boy was I wrong about this game. First off, do yourself a favor. If you find this review unconvincing and still want to try the game out, go get the same app from the Google Play Store. Not only will you save a few bucks, but you'll also get to not see what happens when indie devs get greedy.
This game is an Android app (free on the Play Store), ported for PC.
I have nothing against PC ports. For example, 'This War of Mine' was a great game that existed both, on mobile and PC, but here's what Orbit did differently that makes this game hard to recommend : [olist] [*] It's a poor port. If you're playing on PC, there's no exit button, and the interface is weird to use. That is because there is absolutely no difference betweeen the Android version and this PC version, which sucks because those are two different platforms with different interface and design in mind. The dev most likely used his game engine/editor and just clicked a button to export to a different platform and called it a day. [*] The Android app is free but the Steam game is not. I'd much rather pay for the version the game was intended for, but instead it's the other way round. [/olist] Overall, the game is fun in the beginning, and can give you an hour or two of entertainment. It does leave you wanting though, as the levels get repetitive with just increased difficulty relatively soon, and while there's creative elements, you wonder if the experience would have been better with real time co-op or multiplayer. For the same price, you could get yourself an airhorn, or a frisbee, or a book, depending on the type person you are, and it will most likely entertain you for longer.
