YES!
This game is awesome!
If you want to get that WOW-experience, this is definitely your game.
I haven't had one in loong time but this game is breathtaking.
Game looks good and is fun to play. Seems very easy at first but gets more challenging. Gotta git gud.
You can clearly see tho that the game is early access..
It has a lot of things that im sure will be put right but as of now some things are unfinished.
Like for example you can't use terrain to cover you. Meaning that enemies will shoot through stuff to kill you.
Other weird thing about the game is the sword and hand placement. The swords in your hands are not how the Vive wands in your real hands are. So they dont feel right to use. Also the "guns" aim at an awkward angle. Kinda like pointin a harry potter wand?.
But the game is definitely worth buying. 4/5 at early access.

**I have been playing this launched through the Occulus library, so Steam hasnt registered my play time of about 3 hours.**
Im going to reccomend this game because it is in early access and it is so beautiful, but there is a lot of work that neeeds to be done if this is to be a solid buy at launch. I have played what is currently available of the story, and it is really linear and pretty boring I have to say. You are just thrown into the game with no tutorial or real explanation of what you are doing, you just start. If the world was immersive and the combat really good this could be easily forgiven, but unfrotulantley it isnt.
You cannot really interact with anything, just smash a few generic pots here and there and pick up items, and by pick up I mean hit them with your hand or sword and you just magically collect them.
The combat is meh, you just swing your swords wildly and you will kill what is infront of you. The enemy AI sucks, and they need to be much more difficult. They will stand off in the distance swinging their swords about as if you are standing right in front of them, and most of the time you have to approach them. It would be nice to see them pursue you, and not use such generic attack patterns. I would prefer it if you could cut them up specifically where you swing your sword, so you could kill them in a coupl sword swing nice and accuratley, rather than drumming on them for a little while, but on the flip side they could do the same to you. It's pretty hard to die in this game, so it would really help the immersion if it was much more difficult.
Sometimes the graphics are way too much. Time slows down and there are so many brightly colored particles flinging off your sword its hard to see anything. It should be simple and done well, rather than eveyrthing they can think of thrown at you on screen. I think a motto of simple and accurate would go along way here. The game looks great, but it can be far too much at times.
Overall, it is currently a pretty average title, it just looks good. If it was released like this I wouldnt reccomend it, but hopefully the developers can iron out a few of these issues

Is this going to be released or get fixed? It runs reflections in one eye only and it makes this game impossible to play on Quest 3 on Virtual desktop/Steam Link or PSVR2.

GEEZ! I'm lost for words on this one. I played for like 10 minutes and it left an impression. On a finely tuned system running VR Supersampling 3.2, it is without question THE best walk through and I mean walkthrough the forest intro right before i start looking for the weapons EVER!!!!!!!!!!! The clarity of the graphics and the superb sharpness is simply amazing. Frightening from my perspective.
The sheer size of the 30 foot spider walking in a forest with trees or should i call them grass 50 feet high with red eyes peeking through the dark areas is totally breathtaking. The depth I interpreted from my headset is deep! Colors are right, textures belong in the 4k group. The audio voice is superb. The Music, most likely inspired by vangelis is amazing. The SPecial EFFECTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "HOLY SPECIAL EFFECTS BATMAN!"
As for gameplay, Not there yet because i'm haunted by the clarity. As soon as I pass this impression, I will post more.
This reminds me of the time when farcry came out and got tons of awards for a game nobody heard about and look at it now!
Don't judge my super short review based on 10 minutes. Buy it, give it a whirl, support this game!
graphics 10/10
audio 10/10
gameplay n/a (havent played it through)

I feel sad for this game, because It was so promising.
The cg here is mindblowing. Chacters, their animation, environment, etc is just perfect.
And this game have one of the best weapons I've ever saw.
But...
The other things are just horrible, game is mostly unplayable.
-First vr fps I've seen where you are not moving on actual ground. It looks like but its not! You can notice it when running from height to lower ground. You will realise the character is kinda flying... When you are on some platfoms - some of them are moving faster than you. When they are already on the ground, you are still flying.
-Absolutely no footsteps sound.
-Sometimes sound dissapears at all, except some of the scripted ones.
-No proper save games.
-Menu doesn't work. And this is the worst problem. You can aim and click on smooth rotation button, but game changes graphics settings instead. When you try to change diffuculty, game changes levels... And when you click on levels arrows nothing happens at all. And as there are no game saves, you cant continue playing on levels where you was before. What the hell???
-If you are using rift s you cant place items over your shoulder. So you can't even complete the tutuorial... So I played with forcing the game to work on steamvr sometimes and rebinding some buttons, so it can be solved.
-Horrible collisions. Absolutely. Enemies are shooting and atacking you from the walls and you can't even see them.
-But also there are few invisible walls for you.
-Locomotion frequently just stops working if game runs on oculus sdk.
-Game have smooth rotation, but... after horror with menu, if you was lucky to turn it on and turn off the snapped rotation, you will realise that snapped rotation are always working anyway! Push the right stick - first camera spins as a snapped, and only after one turn work as a smooth. Disgusting.
-Oh, yeah! Sometimes game randomly changes it to full snapped rotation.
-Does the lagoona level supposed to be the last in the game? I mean the level where you meet tribe of guys who are not attacking you. The game show me the logo of developers after this with no explanation what the hell is going on.
-This level in mountains with big worm in center of it. The starting and ending points of level are kinda swapped. So you are starting at the end of the level. Cmon, how can you miss it?
-Lights on the top of the screen emerged on the last levels of the game. What is it supposed to be? Health bar? Why it works only on last levels?
-Frequent game crashes.
-This game engine is always bad at loadings between levels (last frame flickering in front of you). But its only if running on steamvr.
-A lot of strange white boxes all around in last levels. Some of them are big, so they are blocking your view.
-Sometimes levels just randomly switches you to the next ones.
-Switching the weapons with buttons was so bad idea.
-Some of the features doesnt not described through the tutorial and game, so you cant understand whats going on sometimes.
-In game trailers and letsplays I saw the weapons, I've never saw in the game. Was they hidden or deleted? for example some kind of rifle with disc on its top.
-Same with riding the alien creature from treailer.
This game is so buggy and unplayable, so I can't recommend it.

Very pretty for a VR title and remains performant even at 120 Hz. Hopefully there are more biomes in future levels.

The audio could get a tad loud at times and it would be nice if the deep voiced narrator was a tad louder or the game audio was reduced while he was speaking.
The gameplay is much more arcadey than I was expecting. This ins't necessarily a bad thing just not quite what I was expecting going in.
Melee combat is less about precision and more about blindly swinging for the head. Even on the hardest setting combat was simultaneously laughably easy and extremely chaotic. Often times you don't know why you got hit or from where. I couldn't tell how to prevent that damage. Parrying seemed to work in a slow one on one fight but with larger numbers it seemed a less reasonable option. To be honest though it didn't seem to matter as we were flooded with armor and health items.
For the icing on the combat cake, waggling to win appears to be a thing. You're going to play this for the story experience more than the combat.
For some the combat would be a deal breaker however you open up to ranged combat in later levels which turns the game into more of a FPS than a hack and slash. To me it feels more like a power fantasy style game that's in need of more polish than any sort of melee focused game like Blade and Sorcery, Karnage Chronicles or Vanishing Realms. Set expectations appropriately going in.
Things I would like to see improved upon in the final release.
General melee combat polish. I need to know where damage is coming from. Why am I getting hurt and how do I stop it? More emphasis on skill and less on wild swings.
A hard mode that is actually hard.
Audio ducking when the BBEG is narrating so I can actually hear him.
More consistent item interaction. Some things are picked up by walking over them and some have to be picked up by bending over to grab them.
Polish around movement. There's just something that's a tad off.
Index controller orientations or a setting to reorient hands.
Overall an enjoyable experience. I'm curious to see what happens with the story but I may wait for the full release to jump back in. If the rest of the levels are consistent with he first 4 you'll likely get a significant number of gameplay hours out of the game to make the price tag worth while.

WOW! So I have only played a little bit so far, and I gotta say, this is one of the best looking VR games out there, and the controls feel great. Perf is also fantastic, I had many a moment where there was all kinds of particles and shit on screen, and still didnt hit reprojection. I did have a moment where I think it may have kicked in, but if it did it was quick and resolved fast. There was a bug last night related to a bridge, but the developer has already fixed it. This game is like a combo of Turok and Avatar, beautiful colors on a beautiful alien world, that is both ancient and dangerous. I think there should be a better way to manage your actual weapons, but what is there works fine. maybe in an update later they can make it so you can hit a key on your item menu on the wrist that will make a weapon wheel. Does not seem to have a pause menu, but its not like you are going to actually want to remove the headset, the game is so damned pretty.

Get this excellent built-for-VR game! It is well worth the price, and will transport you to a fantastic world of beautiful and awe-inspiring environments and creatures. The promise of new content over time makes this a must have game for every VR library, and should be one of the standards for VR games going forward.
1. Graphics/Immersion: Supperior to vast majority of VR titles. The scale of the world is awe inspiring, the details of the weapons and interactive objects are beautiful and very unique. The creatures are imaginitive and diverse.
2. Combat: The standard for combat in VR is Gorn. The combat here doesn't reach that level of physics based combat, but still surpasses the vast majority of VR titles. There is a bullet time feature that kicks in automatically, and multiple weapons are acquired throughout the game.
3. Locomotion Options: There are currently two types of free locomotion, one headset directed and one controller directed (both use trackpad to move) I hope teleport is added later for those who prefer it, but I experienced no motion sickness using free locomotion.
4. Story/Tutorial/Characters/Music/Voice Acting: The story is innovative and fun. There is not a lot of tutorial or hand holding during the campaign, so prepare for a learning curve. The interaction with the characters is more action/combat based than RPG like, so the only voice I've heard so far is the Narrator, and his voice is acceptable for this type of game. The ethereal music is great for the environments.
5. Menus/Stability/Bugs: There were no significant bugs in the actual gameplay for me, just a few minor ones. The DEV is very responsive to bug reports.
