Apart from the great job Crowder is doing... Fucking hell Cyanide and Umix studio!! I bought the game on day one and i've played it for 3 hours! Crowder is doing his best to make this game playable but, hey, he's not part of the developing team (i guess). I dont see effort from both cyanide and umix to fix this game! No official update from them: they put a game in the market without real names, real logos, competition name/systems which may be ok, but damn! release a patch to fix all these problems! I was expecting an official patch from the team for the real names, competition name/systems and bla bla bla Very poor job from them. Hire Crowder for the next year, he will make a better game for sure. I'm so dissapoint with umix/cyanide behaviour. Worst 20eur i've ever spent in my life...For sure, you wont have my money next year

I have bought this game, but I can`t play it. When I run the game, there is a message that says "this application requires one of the folowing versions of the .NETFramework: .NETFramework, Version=v4.6". I´ve tryed to dowload it (this version) but I can´t install it. Is not possible to make this game doesnt need this version of NetFramework ?? For example, I played without this problem with "Probaskeball manager 2016".

Good game, have extremely bad latency problems however, my laptop is far beyond the recommended specifications to run this game, would be nice for this to be fixed asap. Also game attempts to instal each time on start up saying performing first time start up. This happens for over 10 minutes each startup even when game has already been installed and downloaded. Great game other than how slow it runs on my laptop and the annoying instal feature. Will struggle to play until these problems have a solution.

Game is unplayable for me. slows down to a crawl. tried to contact support through mail, no response. Tried a post on the forums, no response. Game is a cash grab anyway, a reskin of the 2016 game, sold to us at full price. Wish I could have my money back.

I'm recommending this game (but with major asterisks). Mostly, I don't believe it deserves the rating it's gotten as most of the negative reviews seem to harp on the lack of real players/teams/etc. This isn't a legitimate gripe to me for two reasons: A) licenses cost $$$$$ so I can't be mad at the developer for not being able to afford them B) Mods have largely and adequately resolved the issue anyway, so... sour grapes all around. The game *IS* a little buggy. Fast breaks are a disaster, the ability to change playing style pre-game (it seems you have to do it at the beginning of each game, in-game. Not game breaking, as it's literally just selecting an offensive and defensive style, but nonetheless, I've forgotten to change it at the beginning of games and realized too late...). The custom play option is cool - I need to play with it more to see how well it actually works in game. I've run my plays against the wrong type of defence, which accurately did *not* go well... Still though, it's a good sim game. Just like with the FM series, there are times ridiculous things happen and you have to remember, the 3D-viewing aspect of the game is simply trying to visually represent *realistic* statistical occurences, but that doesn't mean what it looks like is all that realistic... yet. This brings me to my last point. It's a great foundation and I think the devs show the ability to make a really solid basketball sim game here, even if it doesn't always come off just yet. They're definitely getting there - it's very close to being the basketball equivalent of FM. I'd love a patch to smooth out some stuff, but I also look forward to the 2018 edition to see if these devs are building on top of their already solid work here.

I feel real bad to have to say this, but... good intentions don't make (alone) a good (decent...) game. I support young developers, small teams and so on... but, I think also there are limits for what is sellable or what is not... Have you ever seen a game that make Steam crash??? Often, when this game crash, it make Steam going on an infinite looping trying to sync... what, I really don't know. I own 200+ games, and played the same numbers pre-Steam era, and this is surely one of the most bugged game I ever encountered. Let me better explain: This game is the third version of the series. This serieshave been plagued from the start by a good number of terrible bugs. However, this version is surely the better of the lasts... and still, is quite unplayable (in the current status). The funny part, is not that the game itself is bad or something (is interesting), but, it simply crash constantly and for any stupid reasons or actions! This game have potential! But... On the forum you read "Please refer any bug you encounter", and this sound ridicolouss after some hours of playing, as: - the game often crash using the editor and the editor itself is pretty bugged - the game 3D engine seems to make the crash for at least half (and also better) graphic cards on the market - the game crash randomly after playing one hour or so (for whatever reason, is never the same) - the game (as said) MAKE STEAM CRASH!!! - on the "gaming" experience part, this is not a bad product, but also not a really good one: it's decent and quite funny, but miss some options and is not so deep on any field... and why bother, if I can't play it! I really hope for some improvement or patch, but many of this bugs have been reported (also by me) already for the last version, so...

This game is a great concept backed with a deep in-game coaching system, and an excellent database editor, however it falls on its face mainly due to a plethora of game breaking glitches, and a poor English translation. The game is largely text based, with you weeding through a series of menus, which is to be expected. The menus are easy to navigate, and it's a breeze to find specific players through the deep searching and recruiting system. However, these menus and some team objectives can be confusing sometimes, as the English translations don't quite make sense sometimes. The music and sound are laughable, as the menu music is 8 songs by the same guy, and the in game sound is literally 4 poorly done sound effects on a slate of awkward silence. You can manage one pro club and one national team at one time. There are tons of playable leagues to select from, with differing rules and competition formats. However, I've found that the game slows to a crawl if your simulation is less than 4 stars in speed. Managing the team(s) can take quite a good deal of time, as you'll be spending your time not only managing and coaching the team, but also dealing with finances and international scouting. The scouts are good for getting some ratings on players, however they seem to misjudge potential horribly, even with a five star scout. During the live simulations, you have the options of viewing the action in a 2D 2k simcast live-esque view, or a very janky and basic 3D view, which I actually preferred. You can choose from a wide variety of options for your offense and defense, and even run specific plays! PBM2017 has many deep customization options available for the player. You can edit everything from players, to coaches, all the way down to the team's financial budget and what languages the player speaks. If you think of it, you can probably edit it, which is really awesome. However, I found it a bit strange that to upload a custom logo, you had to do it thorugh some file digging, a peculiar omission when you can edit just about anything else you can think up. I found myself mainly using the editor to correct the weird translations to names. You'll be seeing a lot of "Dava Millur"s and "Carlas Boozars" for players with English names, partly I believe to avoid a lawsuit from NBA players. These tools are definitely use-at-your-own-risk, as I've discovered a bunch of problems that seem to have resulted from this tool. Player interaction is limited to "scout player", "contract offer" or "add to tracking list". Players don't seem to have negative chemistry, and will stay happy if you keep the training balanced. Progression is really good, and you can definitely tell the difference when you train a specific attribute. I even boosted up a few players in my humble euro league team to the point they eventually got drafted by the NBA. Bugs: As previously stated, this game is full of bugs, which unfortunately the developer has not responded to as of one week. I'm the type of person that is ok with a few crashes here and there, and other weird, funky stuff once in awhile. So here is a list of some that I've had occur to me personally with about a week and 60 hours played, and you can decide for yourself whether you want to chance it. Game Breakers: The Training Glitch- Basically, you can't train your pro players, and your players are constantly out of shape and exhausted, which makes the game pretty much unplayable by the time winter rolls around and you're dropping game after game due to exhastion and slew of resulting injuries. I think I triggered this by accepting a national team offer from Cyprus, as after their season started and ended, I still cannot train my pros. The Competitions Edit Glitch-If you use the editor to look up a competition and subsequently click on that competition page, even if you don't touch anything, will cause that league to be marked as 'non-playable' for the remainder of the season. If this happens to be the league that you are in, you will be immediately removed from the team, and unable to sign anywhere until the next season. The Created Teams/Players Glitch- Created teams will always have 1000 seats, even if you enter a higher number on the creation page. This can lead to you being fired due to lack of revenue. Furthermore, about 4 out of 5 of the generated players on that team were unable to be signed to any kind of contract, basically making them 1-year dummies. This happened when I first started my game. Common Non-Game Breakers: Players from the opposing team (and on a rare occasion, yours) will make a ridiculous full court 3 pointer before the end of quarter buzzer. This happens super frequently, as I've even seen it happen twice in one game. Music will randomly stop playing in the menus after about 3 played games. Usually means the game will crash when you play your next game. Constant random crashes, despite being well above recommended system specs. Be sure to save OFTEN. Endless loading bar sometimes when entering a game. Trying to add affinities to players in the editor will cause the game to freeze, and subsequently crash. When signing or re-signing as manager, your (owner I guess?) will take control of the roster and make a bunch of really high offers to random guys. If they do sign before they re-sign you, you will have to pay off these bum contracts. They will also take the liberty of extending these ridiculous contracts for 1-2 more years at the same or higher rate. This can get you fired for bad financial management, especially when combined with an 1000 seat arena. If you waive a player with an expiring contract with an extension before the offseason (usually because of the above problem) you will have to pay him off, then he will be back on July 1st and you will have to pay him off again. This can sometimes kill more than half of your yearly budget. Can't extend contract for a player with an expiring contract that is on your team, similar to the Created Team Player glitch. Other teams seem to be able to sign them however. These players in particular seem to cause the absurd contract signings by the CPU mentioned above. Euro League 3 has playoffs and a playoff format, but never has any playoff games. Ex-NBA scrubs that have been playing internationally for years will not even consider offers from similar teams "there's no way Carlas Boozar will sign with a GL-1 team!" then proceeds to sign with Berlin afterwards. A bunch of pro and national teams have no coach, despite me adding a bunch of them in the editor (without assigning a team) and most are still free agents. National team prospects seem to be random, not based on actual ratings. A bunch of decent 3-3.5 star players were from Cyprus (the national team I'm coaching) and offered me a bunch of 0-2 star players instead. So my team was a bunch of free agent guys, one signed guy, and a bunch of 15-17 year olds, since you are unable to choose prospects freely as far as I know. In 3d simulations at 4x speed, the ball will often get stuck in place. Your players will then play with an invisble ball until the next sound effect is triggered. Simulation dialogue says "____ shoots it" and then "Defender commits foul", yet the ball is taken from out of bounds. This happens constantly, I would say at least 10 times per game, every game. Can't extend contract for a player with an expiring contract that is on your team, similar to the Created Team Player glitch. Other teams seem to be able to sign them however. These players in particular seem to cause the absurd contract signings by the CPU. Anyways, in summation, this game had huge potential that is spoiled by endless glitches and a poor English translation. If the developers had waited a bit longer and ironed out these kind of issues before launch I would give this game a 7.5/10. However in its current sloppy state, I have to give it a 4.5/10, as I don't think any game should have you worried whether your

Let me start by saying that I owned the 2015 version and Cyanide's football game (out at the same time). I bought them together and was so disappointed with the products that I vowed to never buy another Cyanide game. Fast forward 2 yrs or so and after researching the game for a bit, I hesitantly took the plunge. I can honestly say that after 37 hours of game time, I'm very pleasantly suprised with this one. The game world is huge (which for me is good and bad). I love the depth but on the other hand, when you have to spread your efforts to do so much, you miss details. Its the dilemma of either doing a lot of things good or a few things great. I do think that they've done a lot of things good. The other drawback to having a huge world is that the larger the world, the slower the sim time. I'm playing NCAA and NBA and sim times are pretty slow. I really enjoy the statistical history presented. The only problem that I have with this, is it doesn't seem to go past the past 10 - 20 years and isn't completely accurate. As mentioned, I'm playing NCAA and NBA. The recruiting process could definitely be tweaked a little and there basically isn't any difference between powerhouse programs and low end schools. Navigating through the UI (user interface) is very frustrating and slow at times and the American Basketball leagues don't seem to function or be as realistic as some stand alone College or NBA sims that I have played but in this one game for about half the price of one of those games, you get the entire basketball world. That's pretty amazing. I haven't had any issues with crashing Overall, if you are a basketball fan and enjoy sim games I definitely recommend you try this game. (Never thought I'd be saying that after the 2015 mess) You just need to do it with the understanding that the American worlds aren't as refined as some other individual games provide but you have (a very functional) basically an entire basketball world to become part of. I am very much looking forward to updates/improvements and seeing what this franchise can become. Also the steam workshop group seems to be very involved and at least 1 very detailed real world mod (Crowder I believe) is in the works. There currently are 3 mods in the workshop. I have subscribed to all 3 and have successfully pulled from those mods to update my playable database.

Well, first of all, I wanna say the most important thing here - do not buy this game! Reasons: 1. Rules are wrong! For example, NBA games has 12mins of quarters, this game has 10 mins; 2. Quite of a hard transfer market; 3. BUGs everywhere; 4. Games interface is horrible (slow etc) 5. 3D is horrible; 6. Hell of a expensive! It should cost something about 5€ Thats it! I hope u liked my review!
