Seems like a neat game but there's never anyone online so it's completely unplayable.

When strictly Multiplayer games get abandoned by their developers it becomes a problem and they are rendered useless. It would have been a nice game otherwise.

Reportedly a small team usually dedicated to mobile game development. Here is a sample from someone else what the mobile version of this game is like...
https://youtu.be/jcZXd99M8YU
While I respect a company branching out into new fields such as the Steam platform and doing a fairly decent job porting such work with crisp graphics and sound rich effects and blood pumping music, it completely bamboozles me why such a company would then completely miss the need to make sure that their game was 'playable'.
4 Team is a multiplayer shooter which is stated to have a library of 12 unique characters and 15 different maps. Problem is that 11 of those characters are only unlockable playing against other people in multiplayer. No one, and I mean NO ONE has ever been able to do this as the game does not allow you to team up with other people online whatsoever, this includes friends. There is some serious buggy issues preventing partnerships. Since there are also no bots in the multiplayer games either, all characters are unlockable, this also includes the 13 steam achievements unless you use outside programmes such as (SAM).
While the offline mode is playable with bots, you will find that it doesn't unlock achievements or characters so there seems very little point in playing this unless you just want to have a quick look at each level.
Controls are ‘z’ for fire, ‘x’ for grenades, ‘spacebar’ for jump and ‘arrow keys’ to move. The game can glitch at times momentarily freezing your screen and some bot characters have flashy animations which those who suffer with epilepsy might want to avoid.
Regardless of how many emails sent to the developers and failed attempts joining multiplayer reported in the steam forum, zero has been done about the matter since release. It seems that Heisenberg have moved on and ‘4Team’ is now down to ‘0Team’...
Below a sample from me to satisfy your curiosity... Don't buy from this ghost town developing company until they fix the issues...

I'm not one of those people that usually give a thumbs down for a game when it's primarily multiplayer and no one is ever online. Playing with friends, a game can still be enjoyed. HOWEVER, all of characters in this game that are unlockable have to be unlocked by completing online public matches.
As far as the game goes, it does look fun. But, playing against bots isn't sufficient.
The visuals are nice. I like the character designs and power-up animations. The controls felt tight. It's a shame there are no public players to unlock other characters, though. Even on sale for $0.79 right now and no one is online.
