You are a detective trying to find a missing young woman who disappeared while exploring the mansion of a legendary Countess. One of your fellow detectives also is investigating the case. You quickly find the young lady dead on the grounds, obviously having been thrown out an upstairs window. Along the way, you will collect a set of playing cards that… might have something to do with the legend of the Countess. Plot is engaging, HO scenes are fun, minigames are challenging, and the art is decent. Suggest getting it in the Haunted Legends bundle.

Game Information "Haunted Legends: The Queen of Spades" Collector's Edition is a Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game. The game was developed by ERS Game Studio and published by Big Fish Games Studio. "The Queen of Spades" is the first episode of "Haunted Legends." Since this is a collector's edition, it comes with extra features that are not available in its counterpart; the standard edition. The Game Review Game Visuals I want to mention that the visuals in the game are nicely done. The visuals can be adjusted in the game's option menu. Game Audio I want to mention that audio for the game is well done. Even though the audio is somewhat simplistic and repetitive. The audio can be adjusted in the game's option menu as well. Gameplay There are two different difficulty game modes to choose from: Regular and Expert. The notebook keeps track of progression in the game. Such as story events and clues. There is no map in the game. The player has to remember where to go in the game. There is no padlock feature that is available, but the inventory panel automatically comes stationary. The hidden object scenes consist of the following: Traditional word list. Some of these hidden object scenes may require little or no interactions. The puzzles are fairly easy to solve without having the need to skip any of them. Since this is a collector's edition game, there is a bonus chapter, but it can be accessed only after the main story is completed. Miscellaneous There are extra features in the game: Bonus Chapter; Soundtracks; Concept Art; Wallpapers; Screen Saver and Game's Strategy Guide. Most of these extra features can be accessed only after the entire game is completed. Final thoughts: I have found the game enjoyable to a certain extent. The replay value for the game is low. I would recommend this game, but not at the game's full price value.

As a fan of HOGs and point and clicks, I would highly recommend to give this entire Haunted Legends series a pass. They are clunky and the puzzle solving is kind of infuriating. You think you've solved the puzzle to open a door for example, but, nope, that was just the first part. Now you have to figure out how to open the second part of the lock. With items not yet in your inventory. And a LOT of running around, like more than usual.

This game is really fun and has a fun story line with it. I remember playing this game as a little little kid 9-11 years ago before it was deleted from mobile. It takes many hours (my playtime was only 4 but I've beat it many times when I was younger) so there is plenty of fun in it. It has searching games, puzzles, and tons of interactive game play. I would totally recommend this game it's really enjoyable and not well known.

I never really got around to playing any of the other additions to the series besides this one, and the bronze horseman, but I'd like to say that those game were my childhood. I played the hell out of them and I'll never forget being a little kid getting scared whenever the gremlin would pop up on screen. Maybe it's not for everyone, but this franchise has given me a lot of fond memories.
