great movement, pretty good skill curve. easy to learn hard to master type thing, which i am in love with.

The single best 2d platformer i've ever experienced. it's movement combines basic and easy to learn tools into complex and rapid-fire motions that are ever so satisfying to execute, and it's emphasis on exploration makes it's world more immersive. i love this game.

Quick score: 4/5 Notes: Fun platformer with smashbros style wavedash movement. A bit unintuitive so it may take a while before you are really comfortable with the controls, but once you get it its fun. Only thing keeping it from being a 5/5 is the lack of adequate tutorials within the game.

A very unconventional platformer for people who want to try something new. Movement is based on momentum with a number of abilities and tricks available for different situations, all of them difficult to master.

Plain and simple, this is a joy to play for those interested in speedruns, going fast, and agile acrobatics. The versatility and possibilities in the movement is darn near perfection. Other than that, what you see is what you get - clean and clear visuals with a signature flair alongside a powerful OST. The level design is fun and unique, with the hub world just as nice as each level included in it, and the atmosphere, while very cryptic, is interesting and inviting. Even with the abundance of references to Melee both from players and the game itself, I actually felt it played a lot like a spiritual successor to Dustforce, another speedrunning platformer which is amazing, obviously with a few key differences. I've played my own large share of many Smash Bros. games, but I was never interested in the intricacies of high level movement. Given all of the time spent in those games and a large number of other platformers, speedrun-ny or otherwise, this game still feels like it has a life all its own, even when it flaunts its inspiration. Built from love, loads of fun, and a bargain price tag. Instant recommendation if you have any interest in it.

Very fun game if you enjoy the movement freedom of wave dashing. Don't worry if you can't wave dash yet. You'll learn quickly.

So I'll start by saying: this game is really neat. I love the concept behind it, and when the game works it works brilliantly. The problem with the game is that it seriously hurts your hands. I want to finish this game and recommend it, but I get such horrible hand cramps from playing it that I just can't. Note that my controller is an 8Bitdo SN30Pro+ and wavedashing with this game's control scheme doesn't feel viable. I wish there was an accessibility option to add an "easy wavedash" option. Just a button you can hold that automatically wavedashes. You can kinda recreate this with Steam Input but an official method would be great.

Very fun and unique 2d platformer mostly built around speedrunning. Can take a little to get used to the movement but it feels very fluid and enjoyable when you do.

Game might be good but the lack of control customization (forcing WASD or a controller) for a precision platformer makes no sense. Can't get invested.
