How this is not sitting at mostly negative or at minimum mixed is beyond me. It's incredibly mediocre. For one, the environments and enemies are all uninspired and bland. I can get past that, what I can't accept is the poor excuse for combat - it's slow and clunky.
The combat in a nutshell: wait for the enemy attack animation, step back, step forward, attack them, then repeat the process. This goes for every single enemy, even the boss. Between levels you can upgrade your character with XP or your weapon with gold, making it even easier than it already is.
The enemy AI is also just not great. Once they see you, they'll hunt you down to the ends of the Earth, never de-aggroing. That is, if their pathfinding doesn't have them stuck on a pillar. This combined with the poor combat system makes fighting more than one enemy annoying, not challenging.
There are numerous other, less serious issues. Such as the achievements for difficulty not stacking - unlocking one for normal difficulty won't unlock the one for easy difficulty. Then, the strangest mouse sensitivity options I've ever seen - instead of a slider it's low/medium/high.
I stopped playing at level 2, where you'll inevitably fall through the floor every playthrough, and have to restart.

I know everyone's cracking jokes at this game and i can see why but i'ma judge it on it's merits. It's a dungeon crawler with very lite rpg elements. There's 7 levels with a boss on each level. You collect a certain number of keys each level then goto the boss area and fight him. There's a few melee weapons and ranged weapons you can choose from. I stuck with the halberd when i unlocked it. The combat in this game is laughably easy. I am not even sure the rpg leveling mechanics even worked as i maxed all 3 out at level 10 and not a single difference at all. All in all this game is bad. Really bad but it's clearly super low budget and made by one person most likely. It's a decent time all in all. You could do much worse for the price. The game runs perfectly, no crashes, and the sound design is really good.
