Let me start off by saying that i got this to make music for fun, just make some rap music for fun, right? well let me start off by saying that Magix, WHY THE FUCK DO YOU CHARGE TO CALL TECHNICAL SERVICES?!?!?!?! all im trying to ask is why cant I put in multiple loops without it going transparent and not reading the loop properly, also, why can I not find anything online on how to fix problems or anything like that? all you will find is sites promoting your software, but even for the simplest things I cant get an answer. I am furious I spent nearly a hundred fucking dollars on this and theres no tutorials on common problems online anywhere, what? you think we all already know how one of these work? well we dont. is there any videos on alot of these things on YouTube? no, I go to Reddit to figure it out, anything? NOO! so how about you get your head out of your ass and actually make your customer service free. also i know that the fact that the lack of tutorials online is not your fault, but the people whom are using this. PUT.UP.FUCKING.TUTORIALS!!!!! you have any idea how fustrating it is to have a problem, have none of the tutorial software videos in the actual software tell you how to avoid having transparent loops or anybody online posting a video on whats wrong, and thats not even the beginning. It took me quite a while to look up online on how to compress sounds. so yes im fucking mad and yes i will encourage people not to buy this, not because its bad, but because of the lack of information on the web to help people out with issues. I am done, if i do not hear anything back from you (without having to pay you for your damn help) then i will unfortunatly get a refund, because THIS HORSESHIT IS DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's no in depth tutorials on how to use this software wethere you're a pro or a beginner. I had to figure everthing out myself and even then, the software would just freeze and crash randomly despite Task Manager saying it barely used up any of my CPU. I couldn't even close the software without having to open task manager. If this was a 25 euro software it'd be ok but it's definetley not worth the 100 euros you spend on it.

Get it on sale and no regret. It have great guitar amp modelling, great piano, drums, and soundloops. It also easy to setup and easy to use, recommended for home musician to write songs with MIDI and recording any instruments and microphone. Down side to add VST intruments, it doesn't list all folder you have setup to be VST folder

Great step up from Music Maker (and even allows you to import the same files). Comes with a great set of included VST plugins. This is especially a good alternative to the Cakewalk Sonar Home Studio that used to be offered here.

Won't install correctly. Crashes my machine. Won't record my live tracks and its virtual tracks in the same project which means I can't create a song with its drum machine and my guitar. I turned the volume on the mixer too high and it created massive feedback that froze my laptop and I couldn't shut it off for 10 minutes while this godawful noise was destroying my speakers, I had to plug in my headphones so the speakers on my literally out of the box brand new laptops speakers wouldn't blow. Half of the virtual instrments are missing. I can't get a refund because I tried to get it to work for 3 hours intead of 2. I'll probably still reinstall it and mess around with it now that I'm stuck with it, but I should have stuck with my old version of cakewalk on my old machine.
UPDATE 5 - Jan 31st 2019
Updated! all MAGIX softwares i have are updated! Woohoo! Thank you so much MAGIX! End of update 5 Not easy to use compared to Music Maker series. For example; simple cut and paste becomes a chore and unpredictable. It won't paste where you want it to. For example - right next to existing clips but rather anywhere else you point it and sometimes on its own whim at wherever it wants. So at the very least you have to drag and move it to the correct place or at worst it will overwrite exiting clips forcing you to undo the paste and start all over again. Or so it seems at first glance. The reason for this odd behaviour is actually due to its method of pasting where the play needle stops rather than where you point your mouse on the arranger window. Can't just drag a loop to extend or resize but rather you have to drag and paste another one from the loop library; it's tedious. And because you can't resize a loop, it's not flexible as there's no room to customize the loop to your needs. It's either single or double or triple in size and so on, you get the idea. You can't resize just a fraction of it. I may be wrong about this but at the moment i haven't see a way to do it like in Music Maker editions.
Update 1
Ahh! loops can only be reduced in size. So it's still tedious. It needs to be copied then reduced to get just the right size. So if you want 1.5 size you need to copy a 2nd one then reduce that to half.
End Of Update 1
Other tedious steps you have to do is to name the tracks yourself. There's no autonaming based on the loops you placed on a particular track. Every track has to be named manually ad infinitum otherwise you only get the generic track numbers.
Update 2
Clips are all grey by default. If you want different colours to denote different instruments you have to manually assign them. Again it's tedious.
End Of Update 2
I have no real need for this software, i only bought it for the extra loops and instruments. So far it's not been a pleasure to use. My views may change though if i can get used to it or find a different way to do the same things. Conclusion: Unintuitive UI, restricted operation. Not recommended. 4/10
Update 3
My stand is now changed to neutral on this - 5/10 but since i must pick a side and because despite its faults it's still a great value. However if you have to choose then pick the MAGIX Premium Edition when it's on sale rather than this as it's much easier to use.
End Of Update 3
Update 4 My first project on Samplitide finally completed. Less than 2 mins long but took me more than a day and it's still a bit rough. https://youtu.be/PXAQWHxqxyw

Software is very limited, interface is very sloppy, and overall you'd be better off using the free demo of Fruity Loops Studios than using this. Or pay the few extra dollars for FL Studio software which garuntees you'll be buying a good product that has been used by many proffessionals.

a great music studio and virtual instruments. I recommend this to any budget musicians or students. I am a student myself and this studio is better than garage band. If loops are your thing get music maker by the same authors that is a looping program just like garage band. But better.

May buy it if use for music gaming. Do NOT buy if you are doing the composing things.

I understand that not many people.on Steam would buy softwares that are not related to gaming, but Steam's sales works on them as well. So I had a good reason to have this well made software for half of the price. They were not kidding when they said that the software is easy to use for recording, composing, and editing. I understand that there are much better ones but this one worths its price. For someone who is interested in music production, buy it. You can produce your own music in a quite simple manner with it.
