controls are confusing on kbm other than that game is good, i would rather play volleyball 4.2 but thats js me

I don't like this game. It's a pity because I like volleyball and I know this is a one man work, but I didn't like this game since the beginning. I asked for a refund. Cons: - animations and movements are weird, not always but often - average AI (without even remembering the keys, I was doing some points; also, the AI teammate is not very bright) - basic career mode (the game resets everything after few seasons, I did my researches before the purchase) - no multiplayer and no training mode - dated graphics (honestly I don't have any problems with it, but maybe you do) - it will run mostly on everything, but it doesn't look particularly well optimized - very basic soundtrack - overpriced for what it offers. There are some pro points: for example, you can customize your players and you will face opponents with different skills; you can also play many tournaments. It is not a terrible game, just not good enough for me.

I wanted to play this game for a few hours before leaving a review. Positives: -Not very graphic intensive, so you dont need a beast computer to play it. -Feels good when you get good kills or make nice plays -Very fun and addicting -As a former professional volleyball player, this definitely scratches the itch of wanting to play for real...lol Some negatives/improvements to consider: -The AI of your teammate is not bad, but there are movements that need to be ironed out. There are times when the ball is coming towards you and you try to pass it, but nothing happens. You expect your teammate to block at the net while you play defense, but sometimes he awkwardly stand in the middle and doesnt play defense and the ball literally goes thru his body. I'm sure that will be fixed in final release -There is a command where you can tell your teammate to either play defense or block at the net. (A button+directional). However, during a rally, you're running around using your directional and your A button. So half the time youre telling your teammate 3 different commands and it just gets messy...especially during transition. -Some people say the menu is clunky. While it could definitely improve, I dont think its that bad...I'd rather the developer forcus more time on the gameplay and iron out the bug/glitches. -I hope down the road, add some more game modes such on multiplayer of some sorts. Overall: I recommend this game even during early access. The developer sure did put out a solid game for us to play early on. I'm really excited to see how this game develops

A really fun little game, filling a long empty niche for a beach volleyball video game. The game is very strategic, and is more of a volleyball simulator, than on the arcade side of thing. There are many times when you will have to guess and commit to what your opponent will do, and if they go the opposite way, there are no magic speed burst or super dives to allow you to get back into position. The Character Creation is really inventive. Your Height, and Weight play directly into they way your character performs on the court. This allows you to experiment with different teams in different combinations of Defenders, Universal, and Blocker type players. In Career Mode, training your team is of more importance than in most other sports games I have played. I believe one individual made this entire game, so that is quite an accomplishment. At $15, if you are remotely intersted in beach volleyball this is a no brainer, as it is really your only choice out there. Spread the word, so there will be more money put into the game. Pros + Beach volleyball simulator + Easy to pick up, tough to master. + Okay Career mode with a lot of teams and leagues. + Character Creation affects gameplay. Cons - Graphics are dated, with a lot of small glitches. - Career Mode pretty short considering it is only 4 seasons. - Development seems to have halted on the game.

This game is very cool but I want to say a few things about the game.The reactions of the players are very slow when they are defending.If this problem is fixed the game becomes great!! We wait indoor wolleyball game:DD

Although a clearly unfinished game, this is the best we got for now on terms of volleyball games. The mechanics are pretty good, the gameplay is very satisfactory. It feels like you are playing the real game. It puts you in the same situations and gives you the same feeling you would have playing a real game. The carreer mode is kinda small (up to 4 seasons), but it's very good to play. You'll be able to go from a small new player to the top of the rank. There is local coop gameplay. You can play the carrer with a friend or even play a full match with 3 more friends. No multiplyer tho, but you can play with Steam Remote Play Togheter quite well and have a fun multiplayer carreer. Put the graphics and menus aside - there are clearly made by one guy that knows more about making good games than making good looking games. It's good enought for you to apreciate the mechanics and gameplay of the game. If you're really fan of volleyball and wants to play a very good game of it, this is the game. Give it a try.

With way too many hours in this game I would definitely recommend it if you simply love beach volleyball. It's a great game to just relax and play. You can feel the power in your spikes and blocks. Sadly the dev has stopped working on it but it's still very fun to play.

Bought as soon as released. Considering this is in Early Access it's a very polished game. Attention to detail is amazing, jump-floats, floats, digs, sets, it has them all. Heck even the referee gives the correct hand signals and my AI partner gave me a pat on the back for a good Spike. If you like Beach Volleyball, buy this game. If you don't like Beach Volleyball - It's high time you started. Buy the game! p.s. Unlike real BVB players these players don't get injured. Get well soon Laura Ludwig.

Developer is no longer working on this game, unfortunately. A true gem that will probably never be finished.
