Clunky physics puzzle game. I wonder how well this would work as a multiplayer or survival game.

✯✯✯✯ What a wonderful game this is, I wish there was more of it. I got my money's worth of playtime out of ADAPTR and had a blast doing so. It took me about 8 hours to reach the final level using the bare minimum and unoptimal designs I came up with. Sometimes it was just sheer luck, when I crashed into a goal. Like in Zachtronic puzzle games there's a lot of potential to refine and optimize solutions with focus on traits like time or number of used parts. On top of that I had a lot of fun in just trying out the craziest vehicles I could come up with, like a fully functional and steerable rocket propelled UFO. Not only did I need to think about a suitable construction to solve the puzzle, I also had to drive the thing I designed. This opened up for hours of fun figuring out a good steering machine with a well balanced hinge that can also drive kind of fast and doesn't fall over when maneuvering through rough terrain. The perfomance on my ten year old potato is still good, only the rocket smoke could bring my rig to it's knees. Sadly, there are only 10 levels. Although a total of 34 are planned through DLC, which might or might not be released, depending on how popular ADAPTR is becoming.

This has been one of the best games I have played in a long time. The puzzles on the surface seem simple, but there is alot of depth in the near infinite solutions one can imagine with the toolset provided. The atmosphere is lush and inspirational, it really feels like one is on a different planet. All in all this is a great puzzler for those who want both the preplanning on how to solve the problem but then also the technical act of making it through the maze, AWESOME WORK!

OH MY GOD THOSE GRAPHICS!!! Totally selected the Overclocked option, and my god do the graphics look amazing. These guys really know what they are doing. The game play is simple, very well documented and the interface is very friendly. I would highly recommend that you try it for yourself, I don't want to ruin too much :-)

An excellent physics based rover building puzzler; good looking, buttery smooth frames and cheap to boot. The developers are responsive to feedback and have fixed any issues identified alreadly. If you want a short to medium time investment that rewards you for clever thinking, and you like the idea of driving around machines you've built, I recommend you give this a shot.

I think this game has great potential, it's a fun game you just shape your A.D.A.P.T.R (Armored.Digistructed.Adaptable.Probing.Tactical.Robot) to fit any problem, it "adapts" with little difficulty, it's fun to design a vehicle/adaptr to accomadate the challenges of each level.

So far I like it. Trying to come up with combinations of parts to make a vehicle to complete the missions is fun and often rather challenging. The lights do help on some levels to see things that are hidden in the dark :) And rockets can just be plain awesome! Honestly I've actually spent more time just doing bizarre combinations of parts making crazy vehicles than seriously trying to complete the levels so far....... If you like building things and solving puzzles then this should be a good way to do both.

Think of this game as building a machine to navigate a puzzle, with many choices of how to build your machine to complete the task given to you, (suspensions, rotation blocks, extending blocks, etc). The graphics and gameplay are smooth, and the levels have replayability because you can build your robot in multiple ways, trying to beat previous high scores of fewest components/fastest time. It's a solid mix of voxel/cube building with physics based parts. Definitely worth buying! It's made by the person who made Fortresscraft, which is an excellent 3D voxel automation factory game with some survival and tower defense mixed in.

A fun vehicle building physic puzzler that has you build a vehicle using any available parts and run it through to the end of the course in the given amount of time. Yeah, *just* do that. Good luck. Also, find and collect ARTHER if you can. I've been at this now more hours than I spent dollars on the game which is my incredibly unfair benchmark for whether a game is good. And this game is seriously good. Also it seems like it's not gotten much attention yet, so I'm going to see if I can get all the gold medals and claim 1st world-wide 100% :p
