A bit expensive for what you get, but the buildings look great, and it's good to see the developers working with modders.

Buildings may have been ok-ish when they came out in 2016, but now it's impossible to justify buying this. Not much variety and poor building quality, with repetitive textures and terrible LODs. Go get something better (and free!) on the workshop.

10/10 - Shroomblaze, hope you read this :)
To all those complaining about paying for assets - How heartless can you be?
Each building a person creates takes days, weeks or months of dedicated time, it requires skills, knowledge, time and passion. Yet almost no one gets paid for it. Over 100,000 mods have been created for FREE. We are a community and we need to support eachother in the work we achieve. Now whilst I do not care much for the house models in this game, and only go for the high rise Art Deco towers of the golden age - I purchased it because I appreciate Matt for his hard work and dedication.
I too absolutely am obsessed with the Art Deco era- no other era has graced our skylines and cities so beautifully than this modern architectural style that futurised our cities the globe over!
Great work Matt (Shroomblaze) - Contact me if you want to co-create some building together, am exceptional at architectural modelling both old and new just not fully versed in integration to Sketchup!
And hey if I finally get my head together on integrating assets to this game, then I'd be privaliged if the developer came to me, as it encourages quality content and puts a value on all the hard work.
A Cafe Latte costs you $5 - It's finished in less than an hour - This costs the same and will provide eternal value!

I bought this to support one of the best mod and asset creators who has given so much to the Cities: Skylines community already. I see this as a way to throw a bone to a person who has helped make this game the remarkable phenomenon it is. There are several other prolific creators in the community who'd get my $5 for a handful of special assets they might have worked on a little extra for a special DLC. I don't see this as putting a damper on the free mods. If anything, it might encourage more developers to aspire to get a chance to take a step in the spotlight and get some financial reward for contributing.
Consider this perspective: some revenue from this game is going to someone who otherwise has given a pile of free content to us and gotten nothing in return. How many people have toiled for hours for the benefit of a gaming, online or computing community for no reward over the decades? Maybe it's about time one of them get some financial reward.

I bought the pack and was extremely disappointed. The idea behind it is great but the buildings have terrible LODS and look like yellow blobs at night.
I wish I had donated 5$ to one of my favorite creators on the Workshop instead. I paid 5$ for this and I am not using it.
I do not recommend.

If you like the items this modder made in the workshop, consider this as a donation to the modder. Alot of sites online do this (im looking at you NEXUS MODS!) to modders and ask for donations. If this is not how you wish to support the modder for this game, you don't need to install it. You could get it on a sale. It adds several buidlings that look like they belong in the 1930's era, which is when art deco was popular.
Recommended because any paid dlc for this game does not break it when they update it like workshop mods, and everything for this game makes it even better!

I bought this DLC just because I was ticked to see all the people voting it down just because they are against the concept of paid mods. Really childish and entitled attitude. If you don't think it's worth the price, that's one thing, but you have no right to tell modders that they aren't allowed to seek payment for their work. They are not your slaves, they do not owe you anything for free.

An excellent idea, but substandard in execution. Style-wise all the designs are great, and I have no complaints about the growables, but the unique buildings have poor LODs and/or night lighting. Unless these are fixed, I cannot recommend this DLC, as many of the buildings available for free on the workshop are of much better quality.

Bought a copy to say thanks for all the other great assets Matt has given us. Look at the sheer amount of stuff he's made, buildings and vehicles and props.
If you can't toss $5 at this you don't get that you aren't paying $5 for the few buildings in the pack, you're saying thanks to one of the most prolific suppliers of content in the game.

Matt Crux, the guy getting your money if you buy this DLC, currently has 439 free items in the workshop.
At the time of writing City Skylines is 577 days old, that aveages out to 5,3 items per week, more than one item per workday.
This "DLC" is not about the items includes, it's about showing gratitude to people who has been giving us free stuff.
