I played the beta for this game then bought it after and loved it, playing satisfies a primal urge to play blocks. I hope more people give this game a chance so they can experience how great it is :-)

If you like absurdist visuals, bumpin music, and games with an excellent sense of humor, you will definitely like this game. It is exactly what it looks like: stack blocks to reach a certain height, crazy mechanics constantly reinventing the gameplay, and bright colorful visuals. Put a silly grin on my face as soon as I started playing it.

Cracks on Cracks? Jacks on Jacks? I don' think so. This is Stacks on Stacks. Put on your Slacks on Slacks and listen to the dope Tracks on Tracks. If you didn't get to play it at Pax on Pax, take out your wallet and pay the Tax on Tax. This game takes fun to the Max on Max, but it's not Lax on Lax. These are the Facts on Facts.

Stacks surprised me over and over. The game is built around a relatively simple mechanic-- stack up the blocks without letting any of them fall out of bounds-- that everybody can understand. But the game pulls an incredible variety out of that basic concept and not only is it fun, it really held my interest level after level. I'm about 25% of the way through at this point so I thought I'd take a break to share pros and cons: +Gameplay is extremely tight, physics work exactly as you expect and the blocks have a tangible weight to them. +Very high levels of polish. Constantly noticing little nice touches (like my actual completed towers showing up on the map) that I wasn't expecting. +Extremely fast-paced gameplay without any needless waiting. You start a level and blocks are falling. Fail and you don't get booted to a loading screen, you just keep stacking until you make it or give up. I appreciate a game where you can go from main menu to gameplay as fast as you can click. +Great to see a quality 3D, physics-based indie game. Very bright and colorful aesthetic and they lean into the polygon-ness of the world in a way that I really like. +Sound design is INSANE. The music is amazing and suits the frantic gameplay perfectly. -Time goals for each level seem a little short (I realize they're optional but damn) -Despite the cute aesthetic, I think most kids would probably have difficulty with this game. Precisely balancing the blocks, which can be all sorts of inconvenient shapes, is challenging enough for a grown-ass man like me so I'm not sure how well kids could handle it. They'd probably love the endless mode, though. All in all I am very pleased with Stacks and I can't wait to try some versus. I also appreciate the price point, I think the devs made a game worth a lot more than they're asking.

What I really like about this is how well it capture that feeling of childhood building towers that defy the laws of physics. There are some really cool mechanics that make every level interesting plus some cool surprises!

This game is ridiculous and wonderful. Plop down those blocks, play a random mini game, buy some fresh swag, and, dare i say, learn what it really means to be a Master Stacker. Looking forward to doing more 2p and arcade modes soon too!

Funny stacking game with mini games. It is harder than it looks to stack those things.
