The longest five minutes of your life... This is essentially a single-level bullet hell shmup, but that single level mutates and iterates so many different ways that there is easily a full game worth of content. If this came out in the 90's, it's the type of thing that the old GameFan magazine would have salivated endlessly over. Hard as nails, but HIGHLY recommended. Another reviewer pointed out the Treasure influence and I have to agree. The dev has a bunch of other high-quality shooters a well and every one is well worth playing.

The best caravan shooter I've ever played. The art direction in this game is something to behold. It's as if the designer read my diary and created a game perfectly suited to my tastes. BUY IT.

A interesting game that i recommend with some reservations. The game play is tight, with good and precise controls, the presentation (both audio and graphics) is excelentand simple but fun bullet patterns that feel like a classic shmup from the early 90s . Basicaly is a toaplan inpired game with a single stage with time limit, but believe me in that short period you will have a really intense experience. It has a rank that changes the gameplay. The better you play the harder it gets. Unfortunaly the difficulty is high even for a shmup and probably some gamers won´t reach later parts of the stage that are much more interesting than the early ones. You may get to a point that will find the experiencce repetitive as you repeat those early parts that are not bad , but are not that great either. I would also would apreciate that there could be a button to a quick restart as sometimes you may have a early bad run and you have to pause, go to the menu and restart all over again. Considering the relation quality price and other offers in the market i can´t recomend this game at full price for the reasons mentioned above. I bought it with a big discount and i am quite satisfied. Very good game for short bursts.

Fantastic caravan that flows incredibly well once you start learning the patterns. The game is set up so that even clearing the caravan modes are goals at the beginning. It can be very hard at first, but once you start finding the game's rhythm, you can see real improvement. Getting that 5min clear took me several hours of work, and now I want to go back just to get a better score. Going from one game to the next does involve a few more button presses than necessary (quit to menu, then restart the run), but is still very snappy and can be done in two seconds.
The scoring system is simple, yet perfectly fits the game. Uses a dropping medal system, where the medal value decreases on death or bomb use. You can chain enemy kills to get the medals to drop, and collecting enough medals increases the score. Simple, but it feels good to see your items increase in size the longer you go. The only downside to score chasing is that the patterns are randomly chosen from a pool, so RNG can alter what shows up, affecting drops. However, it's not enough to offset just playing well.
Highly recommended for people that want a caravan shooter with a bit more depth.

This package contains TWO games: Fire Arrow and Fire Arrow Plus
Fire Arrow is an awesome tribute to 90s arcade shooters. It's full of challenges thrown at you quickly, with all the bonus powers you need, if you manage to collect them in time. Fire Arrow is perfectly engineered to vacuum quarters out of your pocket at an early 1990s lobby or arcade. It didn't exist then, but you can play it now without burning through all your fun money. I highly recommend it.
On the other hand, Fire Arrow Plus is just like a late 1990s sequel that tried too hard. The sprite stretching effects are typical of that era, but not pleasant to look at. In this game you are assaulted with a bullet hell of yoga-ball shots as big as half your ship--even with a tiny hitbox you don't have much of a chance. And the boss ships, while they look cool, they fill the whole screen area and sweep across in patterns that look unavoidable. In the late 90s, after spending two quarters I would have wandered to a different lobby.
Conclusion:
Definitely buy this to play Fire Arrow!
But if you find Fire Arrow Plus as frustrating as I did, just ignore it and stick with the original.

I usually love classic shoot-em-up games, and Fire Arrow Plus delivers on the graphics, enemy design, and snappy retro music that you would expect from a strong entry in the genre. Unfortunately, the painfully short sessions and unforgiving/blinding pixel storms on the screen are significant enough drawbacks for me to set this one aside.
I got this game on sale for $0.99 and, although the game has several notable strengths, I didn't really have fun and can't recommend it.

Vertical space shooter. Tight controls. Fast reflex based gameplay. Interesting and original boss mechanics. Gorgeous retro presentation and graphics. Rocking audio. Very challenging and rewarding.

This is not one but 2 deliciously bite-sized shooters together in one package. The audio and visual presentation are top notch and the game is fun and challenging without becoming burdensome.
You spend a short time period, either 3 or 5 minutes playing a randomized selection of enemy waves and special event mini-bosses and fight a regular boss at the end. Repeat for high scores.
I'm more impressed than I expected to be. The game really delivers on aesthetics and play.

The Dev is a bit of an enigma, his art and design was inspirational to me when I washed up on the shores of shmups.system11.org.
This game is balls to the wall, flat out and not for the feint of heart.
---------(Now imagine this is a fantasy retro system)----------
It's packed full of Huge sprites, technically impressive and creative boss battles, a myriad of cool, "treasure-esque", scaling and rotating tricks; and masterful, real hardware, Megadrive music by Heavy Viper....
and it's well worth your money,
You are buying these Guy's dream machine, it's been overclocked and it's being pushed to the limit's
