I love how many tools there are including audio and cameras and such. It's my favorite VR art program.

The devs are still active on their discord so go there if you have any questions
though it hasnt been updated in a while, i say its worth getting if you enjoy animating.

It's a powerful software when it works, but I haven't been able to use it for the last 5 months because like many other people, my right controller keeps registering input when it shouldn't, and doesn't register input when it should. Multiple people having this issue implies this is a software issue. It has been reported on their steam forum for months now, but there is no indication that the developers are even aware of it. Do not buy right now.

As of right now, almost impossible to use. The drawing tool would randomly draw lines when you don't want it to and half the time when you draw something in a single frame, it would be drawn in the previous frame. Untill, these bugs get sorted out, don't buy this sofeware.

This game does gave potential.. Its just that there is little to none customization to fit your preferences, what i mean by that is that you cant change the fps in your animation or anything like that witch makes it super hard and confusing to animate and the controls are the most trashy trash I have ever seen in any game known to man. What I mean by that is, whenever I try to move one frame forward or back it just speeds through the entire animation and I don't get the chance to actually animate good and on top of that, the controls are just confusing and like i said earlier you cant customize them.

Really enjoying this so far love creating in VR, the only thing I am having trouble with thus far is the control of the thickness of the line. Also had to calibrate the controllers to Vive in order to move the scene or push and pull. I can make a line bigger by pulling it out, but I'd rather be able to set in larger before I draw.

any time, that I spent playing this game, was spent on the loading screen.
bummer, what a waste; it looked so nifty in the advertisements too...
It simply won't get past the blackvoid after it starts over steamlink on occulus. ugh.
wasted money on this.

If you use the valve index controllers you will not be able to pan grow and shrink the stage. Which is a critical feature. The tutorial videos won't play. The application will interact with panels that are behind the panel you are pointing your controller at. Not worth the money.

This software has a ton of potential, but none of the tutorial videos work. You can learn some of the basics from loading sample scenes but, in the end you are on your own to learn the controls. There is a lot to the controls. The layering system, the various movement options, the onion skin controls. I think this software could be perfect for someone, but it's not for me. ALSO, it works just fine on the HTC VIVE.

AnimVR is my number one VR creation tool to use for work. A majority of my current career is built around this app because of how versitle it is. But best of all, the dev team is friendly and FAST. New features arrive all the time that completley change the game. Unlike other tools, this isn't just a modeler, you can paint, edit, film, add sound design, add filters... Honestly every part of the cinematic process is in this app.
If the aesthetic is not your vibe, I highly recommend checking this out at least as a pre-viz tool for your stories. You could design EVERY shot out in AnimVR before you even start your 3D modeling in another program.
Mastering AnimVR takes time, just like every art form, but the tools are all there.
