One of the best games in my library. Making custom units and seeing the ♥♥♥♥ they do is rivaled by few games

This game is a perfect example of complete dissonance between the game's design and its achievement design. The game starts off fun enough. The Introductions campaign is a perfect balance between providing the player a fair unit economy and strategic challenge. The game looks great and its fun trying out its dozens of units. By the Simulation campaign, though, I felt this balance slip off a cliff. So many of your win conditions from here on out are predicated whether one of the units hit a ranged attack or swing their weapon properly. Yes, you can technically control your units but (1) you can only control one at a time and (2) you still have to deal with the game's janky physics. You can copy a level strategy guide unit by unit, pixel by pixel and still lose the level just cause of the physics. No other game I've played provides the player as little control as this. Now none of this is particularly egregious at first. Sure, you may need to restart a level a few times, but it's a sandbox game and it can be fun to try out different combinations of units to see what works. But that's the thing. There are ACHIEVEMENTS that force you to restart a campaign when you lose, and each campaign can last you 2-3 hours. This is so at odds with how the game is designed that I straight up just can't recommend this for any achievement hunters unless you're okay with bashing your head against a wall repeatedly.

A silly little game about silly little guys beating each other to death. Nothing too special, but doing the campaign levels can burn some time. Also fun with friends.

This game is a lot of fun. I've wanted to play it since i watched my childhood youtubers play it. It takes a lot of strategy for such a silly game. Love it, 10/10.

My 5 year old son's favourite game. Everything a boy could want: throw fun and diverse units against each other in quick satisfying battles or play the campaign which are more like strategy puzzles.

Few games bring back memories quite like this one. I first played it back in its alpha days in 2017, when watching wobbly armies collide in ridiculous physics-driven battles felt like something completely fresh. Years later, finally finishing it was a nostalgic trip that reminded me why I loved it so much in the first place. The low-poly art style remains one of my favorite aspects of the game. It's simple, colorful, and full of charm, perfectly matching the chaotic nature of every battle. Whether I was experimenting with absurd unit combinations or watching carefully planned strategies fall apart in seconds, the game constantly found new ways to make me laugh. What stands out most is how well it embraces its own absurdity. It never tries to be serious, and that's exactly what makes it special. Between the creative unit designs, the sandbox freedom, and the endless hilarious moments, it delivers an experience that is unlike anything else. A huge thank you to Landfall Games for creating such a memorable game. TABS has provided countless hours of fun over the years, and it's one of those rare games that never loses its charm no matter how many battles you've watched unfold.
