Recommended at sale price. My thoughts with some semblance of order. Its H "scenes" are just to inform the narrative, functional in that sense and little else. If that's what you're here for look else where. One H Scenes kinda strikes me out of left field as if they had a quota so decided to just insert it there (LOL), seeming out of context and character to me, in what otherwise has fine if usually casual set ups. There are 10 endings though 4 of them are bad and 2/4 those are generic you died bad, another he winds up a slave for terribly bad judgement, and lastly and most interestingly to me.
The main character having finished his quest with out the connections or motive to farther in life after the fact, lives a down and out life as an alcoholic, dependent on the good will of his child hood friend who held a torch for him before and during this. One day while whispering sweet nothings to his alcohol she comes to visit and confronts him on how he got to this state and than rapes him. I could see this being particularly edgy, out of left field, or cast favorably in another story, but here its none of those things and feels oddly appropriate for the characters seen til this point.
The remaining are 5 different flavors of marriage and one where he actually functions solo without losing sobriety. Getting each ending when they share 90% of scenes is a chore to be sure, but expected with this medium. For what it is I enjoyed it. Enough is well executed for a decent highlight reel, but know what you're getting.

Good work! Not without drawbacks but horribly sweet and wonderful. Designed by debutants, invested, it seemed to me, the whole soul, the heart and other body parts in this work. The undoubted advantage of the game is a bright and sensual panache. The characters and locations was done with love and diligence. The plot is non-linear and gives scope for acting out the role. All your deeds, from boldly sharp to gently complaisant, have consequences. The game, like any passionate nature, has its dark side. Somewhere discernible plot holes, somewhere flat characters, somewhere lacked experience, but in general, I can only praise the developers and wish a great things!

I liked the story, but there were several written errors that made things confusing. I still may play through it again though.

The dialogue is actually kind of fun to read. The relationships between characters are very amusing and create a lot of interesting dynamics between them. Art is stellar and music fits in for the most part. Ahhhh. Some of these plotlines make little to no sense. You can propose to one girl and still end up with someone else because you picked more choices that aligned with her? There's a lot of things that don't add up. The H-scenes are garbage. If you're going to add H-scenes, at least make them part of the story and provide context behind it. Instead, it's sprinkled throughout the entire novel with the entire dialogue being "..." Like, just don't do it at all if that's all that you're going to provide. It just cheapens the interesting parts of these characters and adds no sort of depth into their relationships aside from "oh hey look guys we touched each other". It's overall fine but just don't buy it for full price.

This game gives you plenty of choices as well as intriguing characters who I would have loved to learn more about. And if you're someone who plays games like these just for the fanservice, I can promise you that this game has plenty of that.

This review may be a little long, but it is intended to provide insight for those of you who are on the fence regarding its purchase. Three months ago I downloaded the game demo and it was OK, but didn’t seem to promise enough to be worth its list price, especially since some “choices matter” multiple ending games that I’ve played in the past (--cough--Crystalline--cough--) have “time bomb” consequences that may hit you hours of gameplay later after making a “wrong” choice. As a result, I uninstalled the demo and basically forgot about it. Recently Treasure of a Blizzard went on sale and after further procrastination I decided to go ahead and purchase it. I am glad I did. Review Based on my history with other “choices matter” games, the first thing I did was look for a guide. There are several. The guide “FULL FLOW DIAGRAM” by derailed_omega_male was sufficient for me to feel I had my “safety net,” (It shows in a very large graphic the flow of the game without detailing what happens.) That done, I found the game extremely entertaining and admit that when patched with 18+ content it is worth the asking price. The results of the game choices are (in my opinion) occasionally unpredictable, so I suspect that without using a guide, you are likely to end up where you don’t really want to end up. In any case, you can always go through the game once and then use a guide to “clean up” your results. This gives you options. The written dialogue is clever, but there are spelling and grammar errors. The artwork is good or better throughout and is all in the same style, so there are no jarring visual transitions that I noticed. They could have used another sprite or two for each of the four main characters, since occasionally a particular character’s expression didn’t quite fit the dialogue at the time. Based on my experience, and what I saw in the guide I referenced, much of the game has some tolerance for making “imperfect choices,” but there are a few cases where a seemingly minor choice will tank your result. Therefore, be aware that you might be disappointed with the ending of your first playthrough if you do not use a guide. Adult content This is not an H game, although it includes adult situations and graphics. Each adult scene is only one or two images, so 98% of this game is a choices matter story. If you are looking for an H game, you will probably not enjoy Treasure of a Blizzard. If you want a choices matter game with some explicit, story related content, this game will be right down your alley. If you don’t use the patch, the game uses both mosaic censoring and some white glowing stars (such as would be “sprinkled” around a picture of a magical item) that are placed over “special” areas. I prefer the “star” censoring to the use of mosaics. There is a patch available that removes almost all** censorship, but it is not available not on Steam. According to the publisher, they cannot supply the patch either, since it violates some of their local laws. Still, a patch is available and since that patch source was referenced by the publisher (wink), it does seem to be OK to use. I can confirm that it does remove almost all** censoring and does not seem to affect the game or its stability in any way. ** Note: Even with the patch, there is at least one CG I saw that still had the star censoring (in what would otherwise have been a pretty amazing image). I have only completed 3 of the 10 endings, so there may be more. Recommended.

Treasure Of A Blizzard Length: Very Short (<5 Hours) Number of Routes: 1 Choices: Yes Failure Possible: Yes (apparently in 2 of the endings) Characters: Decent Progression: Alright (abit slow at first) Soundtrack: Pretty Good Achievement Difficulty: 0 Additional Thoughts: A bit slow in the start and full of grammar issues but still rather good.

Fun game and makes you feel like you have a choice and the ability to play the protagonist's personality the way you want. The only think that bothered me about this game was the English translation. Not just poor grammar, the sentence structure often makes it difficult to discern what they are trying to say. Because of this poorly worded translation all of the characters seemed to have the same voice. While it is not "someone set us up the bomb" level of bad, it is still difficult to follow. The story is good, the art unique and attractive but the wording is a deal breaker. For a visual novel it is hard to overlook problems in the novel half of the genre.

This is an interesting little novella. You are Kang, a young soldier being escorted to the capital by an old friend Lin, who you may have... feelings for. During a blizzard, you end up at an tavern run by Mei, who may have... interesting diversions. The mystical place they are in includes a she-werewolf named Shan who has a harsh reputation, but whose heart you might begin to thaw. These are the three women you might end up with, depending on your choices. Or you could end up dead. Hopefully, the former. It is a decent game.
