I personally enjoyed this game even though it is based around a common formula. This video is not a review, just fun with the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyMYL1mDytc No technical issues to report and makes for a good choice if you have limited space to play with your Vive. Not been a part of the team who created this i can only advise a few suggestions if possible while keeping the frame rate. A slight boost in the anti-aliasing, out of the spells i have only 2 felt worth using, and the patterns of the enimies would help this game along side of them not defying gravity with there flight patterns at times (I found this funny and it effects nothing gameplay wise) But in saying that, when your playing the game for yourself, these things are overlooked, as should be when allowing yourself to be immersed into anything. Great music helps you really feel like your the last person standing against a portal to hell. Thumbs up from me, keep up the good work.

This game is great. Looks great, plays great. There is no gittering with the GTX 1060 whatsoever. Its also insanely fun while listening to metal, so it would be cool if you could turn off the game's music.

This game makes me feel like a powerful wizard. Yes, it is another wave shooter. The area you are in looks huge and epic. The magic effects are amazing. It is level based (instead of endless). New spells are unlockable over time. Overall, I think it is worth the asking price.

At first the game is kind of boaring as the speels are all the same and if feels more like shooting a gun than spellcasting, but once you get used to the akward aim and get some nice spells the game gets fun. For the dollar price that i got this game i would definatly recommend it to anyone who just wants a short fun game to play

If you like 1st person wave shooters like I do then this will be up your alley. Enemies spawing from a giant ominous vortex in the sky is super cool. My suggestions are the following: 1. More attack Variety from enemies 2. Magic weapons should yield different results 3. Enemies with legs should land on the players platform and attack. When that happens the player can have a magic mellee weapon. Anyway. Great start to a cool game. Hope the dev keeps updating.

Cool effort, not very polished. It looks pretty and the arena is nice. Most of the spells were not good enough to be useful. The Vortex Bomb was cool, but otherwise it only felt natural to use Frost wave (because it could actually hit something), and the Bow. In a wizard game I don't want to have to use the bow. If the developers improve the flight mechanics of the enemies so they are more natural, and increase the usefulness of the different spells this might be a cool game. The enemies were not threatening, the bosses were very boring. I played through it to test out the spells and see no reason to play it again.

Picked this up on a major sale for a dollar or two, though I'd say it wasn't even worth that. The game is basically Space Pirate Simulator minus the polish, and the 6 weapons are unlocked by beating levels of 5 waves. On the positive side, the environment itself is quite nice to look at, the music is suitable, and the monsters have some variations of graphics and toughness. However, they behave in the exact same underwhelming way without any feedback to being hit, and most of the weapons are simply color variations of the initial underpowered spell. I can't recommend it even on sale because my curiousity about the game was fully satisfied in 5 minutes, and any desire to continue died 10 minutes after that (and I can't see myself playing it again).
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/xLBkV5gCyZg Is this a great game? Nope. It's just a 180 wave shooter with a dodge mechanic. So this wave shooter differentiates itself from others because it's magic based. Not just that, but there's several different spells to choose from and it has a variety of enemies. Other than that, it doesn't offer anything new or unique. It does not compare with SPT or BOTU, but it's not in their price range either. There's only one environment. However, each wave brings something new. Usually more enemies. But after 3 waves or so a boss fight is introduced and then a new enemy. You can play with different combination of spells. However, there is usually one spell that is clearly better than the rest so there is no need to use another spell, just double up on the best one. The animations look good. Most of the enemies look different, but don't really act too different. Some damage more than others. Most of the boss fights are, unfortunately, just the same skinned enemy but that's more powerful and has a quicker shot than the normal version of the mob. You can also summon a shield on either hand, but it's usually better to just dodge incoming projectiles. I did encounter a bug. The bow & arrow magical spell is the best spell, but it would bug out and would no longer let you notch an arrow on the bow. You have to unsummon the spell and then summon it back unto your hand to get it to work properly again. I also could never get the throwing mechanic for the magma rock spell. I finished the whole campaign in less than 1 hour (~50 minutes), although there is also an endless mode. Sale Price Rating 6/10 (I paid $1.19 USD in the Steam Summer Sale 2018). Normal Price Rating 5/10.

I got this on sale for $1 and that's what I'd say it's worth Pros: 1) It's pretty, the graphics are rather good Cons: 1) It's a wave shooter with nothing particuarly special about it 2) The price, $8 is absurd 3) Most of the spells are useless 4) There's no plot to give you a reason for why you're defending this castle or who's attacking you

A short and repetative wave "shooter" with spells instead of guns. The environment is beautiful but enemy graphics are underwelming and with little variation. Spells are not cast with your hands as in Waltz of the Wizard, but shot with the vive controler trigger. This makes casting spells less like actually casting, more like using a regular gun. This game has potential, but I would not reccomend it in its current state.
