This game is unplayable for me. I had to sit down after only a few minutes of playing. The play area is constantly rotated and jumps/lags a lot. I almost fell down a couple of times. Also, the poor water shader gave me a headache.

Roomscale Tower is true to its name, you really do need a huge empty room to play this game if your using the stand still option. The game places you in a medevil times and the home spot makes you feel like your back in the midevil era. A pesant greets you with music, a map that you can pick locations and missions to do. There is survival, climbing, knife throwing, tower and a pig game. The grphics look nice and the sound is decent but like any early access game (EAG) there are bound to be faults. There are too many issues with the EAG to name but with fixes and patches this game does have the high potential to be a good game. Roomscale Tower (early access) gets a solid 4/10 score. With the fixes and patches, the full game could easily earn a 7 or 8 score. If you want to experiance the 7 or 8 score then wait for the full release game.

Hey Kid, do you like being forced through the same nausea inducing game mechanic over and over again? GREAT! This is the game for you! See that spinning stone in the pit at the 00:47 mark in the trailer? Get ready to do that barely working nauseating bullshit about 40 FORTY times.

Very good game with interesting dynamics and nice graphics. I hope the developpers will leave the mini-game style of the gameplay, connecting functionally the stages instead to get a complete adventure game, which would be awesome starting from this base.

A ton of fun! The locomotion is great, it looks beautiful and the combat is actually pretty good (though the animations could use some work). I loved dodging traps in the tower mode and fighting skeletons on the survival mode. It's really satisfying to panic when a skeleton gets close and stick a throwing axe in their heart. The developers are also very active.

Revisited this game after nearly 1 year and only minor things changed, while nothing of the existing "game" got improved... the idea is very good but execution lacks in every aspect. I got sicker than nearly most fast paced shooters and i can stomach quite some crazy vr games. This game is stuttering on a titanx (old model but still) the appearently laser scanned walls are open on so many places, other than the textures the game is nearly empty. The gameplay itself is buggy most modes never noticed me finishend them with no way to end it. Movement options are only for the core and do not work as well as one would think. For some reason they added a useless map/room with some music and ugly animated npcs when there was still so much to fix. TL;DR; dont even think about buying for this price

This review is for day 1 early access. As it stands the game looks great and is fun to play. As you should expect in early access there are bugs that need ironing out that the devs will be working on, and more stuff to be added over time. You shouldn't buy an early access game and then whinge because it isn't fully finished (but people do). The Tower parts remind me a bit of the old TV series Knightmare, with moving platforms to step onto and various traps to dodge. It uses roomscale quite well here. The only part I wasn't so keen on were the rotating platforms. I didn't find those comfortable to ride. The rest is good though. The survival modes (skeleton wave attacks) are a good start. I look forward to how these progress over time. The giant skeletons are a brilliant addition and I liked having a lot of different weapons at my disposal. It was amusing to shoot a skeletons head off (or other body part) and have it continue it's attack until fully disabled. If this is the start then the future looks bright :)

A VERY promising EA title. The graphics are very atmospheric and I really like the little touches like the boatman who takes you to the tower. Also a fun selection of medieval arms to chose from. If you've got the space, this game is fun.

In it's current state this is a diamond in the very rough game.
Update
They just updated the game a couple days after my initial review (which is good because they also updated a few days before my review. I really hope this group keeps on going. They made progress towards every complaint I have. For now it's still a not reccomended It's just too raw at the moment, but it is getting closer and closer towards a great game. OVERALL Seriously this game has so much raw potential, but needs either 10 more coats of polish or a price reduction. When two of your three game modes are outshined by other games and your main game mode is basically stepping stones, you need to up the value of your game. Concept; AMAZING a game without needing a teleport system, fantastic, the execution however not so much, you see that spinning rock thing, be prepared to do that A LOT and it's not smooth, you will feel like a drunkard if you don't thread the needle as the game does not reset position until you step off that stone, so you step off at an odd angle the entire game zips back into place. A for effort D for execution, if nothing else give an option for teleport or a walk forward button as the arm swing is awful especially during combat. Visuals; Amazing visuals, it's as pretty as it's touted in the trailer. Sounds; Not awful, sounds like a generic fantasy game, Nothing to write home about. Controls; could be better, "hand position" calibration option would be nice, and modified hitboxes as in survival when I'm reaching for a throwing axe I often grab the shield from my left hand instead. And the alternate movement method needs severe tweaking Game Modes Here's the meat and potatos of any game. Right now this game is serving up potted meat and undercooked potatos Tower mode, spinning rocks and drunken walks, this is the main game mode, while it is an appealing concept it was just so poorly executed, on the plus side it is the only game of it's kind so far. Climbing mode, Fun but only for a bit, climbing is hopefully incorporated in tower mode to actually give some purpose to the climb, Better option, hotdogs horshoes handgrenades gunnasium. Survival mode, without any locomotion this is essentially a sub par version of the game hollowpoint, I say this because you will quickly find the only weapon worth anything in this mode is the bow and arrow, unless I really really missed something (maybe a better tutorial would help). FINAL VERDICT This game in it's current state is like having a hot girlfriend who wants to do nothing with you, sure you can stare at her and go oooooooooo aaaaaaaaaa but when it comes to playtime it leaves A LOT to be desired. Hopefully this will change in the future, the devs do appear to be active so it's not a lost cause. I was going to refund this game until I saw how frequently the updates were coming in. knowing this I give it a 5/10

This game has a lot of potential, one of the most interesting uses of room scale I have seen so far. I was skeptical of no teleporting but it works very well. Graphics are excellent but as others have said the combat isn't the best (im sure this will improve). I recommend this game purely because the devs have tried something different.... I also fell over stepping off a rotating platform :) EDIT - Updates seem to have dried up, been 2 months since last update. I asked a question on the forum about this and did not get a response. This makes me think the game will not improve...... hope im wrong.
