I'm not one to read books often, but that was very good. I spent a day reading through this and I'd love to see a sequel. Definitely worth getting.

The dlc used to not work, but now the issue with the ebook not working has been resolved, after several weeks. Of course. Not the best way to release DLC. So, I will NOT change my review to reccomended.

Okay, fair enough I had no idea I owned this, lol. Yes, it's an eBook, which means it's not part of the game. That said, it's filled with beautiful art and captivating stories about how Stellaris came to life. And there's more! I was genuinely surprised to discover all this. There's even a novel included, which I haven't finished yet, but I'm working on it. The story seems to lose a bit of steam halfway through, but it's still pretty enjoyable. This eBook is definitely for the die-hard fans, not for those who want everything and think this is some sort of DLC for the game. It's not you won't get any in-game perks, just a shiny green V to show you've bought it. So, is this worth your time? Only if you're a fan and love reading books. If not, don't bother with it. Stay away. However, if you're curious about how Stellaris came to life, then this is definitely for you.

A novel, related to Stellaris, but not the story of the game (since it has none). You can get it part of the Galaxy Edition for free. Since it is an ebbok, hidden in the game files (as usual with these kind of extras), kinda hard to find.

I didn't and have no plans to read the novel, but the artbook is a fantastic resource. In hindsight, the two pieces should've absolutely been sold separately because the bad reviews for the novel really don't represent the artbook's quality.
Stellaris: Infinite Frontiers (eBook)
When it comes to the content of the ebook itself, it is nothing crazy. It's a fairly standard, and not very deep, sci-fi adventure. What is strange, however, is the fact that the ebook itself has little to do with the game. It's not a big minus, but since this DLC is assigned to Stellaris, it's strange that apart from the title it doesn't have much in common with the game.

My bad.... I didn't noticed I should get the book from the local content directory. About the novel - the only thing I don't like is that it's too short for such an amazing story :)

Starts really nice but falls off heavily somewhere in the middle; i got a feeling like the author perhaps was trying to hastily wrap up something that was supposed to be a slightly bigger story, or just ran out of enthusiasm; some "plot inconsistencies" were annoying too. Overall i'd say the book was not worth the time spent reading it, or, rather, the feeling of disappointment after finishing it - i'd probably been better off reading almost anything else.

It's a fun and entertaining read, but as mentioned before it has pretty much no relation whatsoever to Stellaris. Still worth every cent, however. I hope they do make a sequel.

I'm not saying the book is bad. It is pretty standard fare though. The reason I'm not recommending it is because the connection to Stellaris is barely there. There are a few instances of name-dropping, but that's basicly it. There are no space battles, nothing about diplomacy or any other key features of Stellaris. Nothing about Precursors, space creatures or anomalies.
