I really enjoyed Empty Horizons, it's probably one of my favorite stories from this developer and one of the first stories I read from Ebi-hime. It's short but sweet.
I felt I could relate to Mireille quite a bit (maybe not the greatest thing? but!) and wanted to see things work out for her. Grief is an interesting thing and I felt the story handled it gently. I'm also a huge sucker for bodyguard characters, so I thought Lyon was really cute. ^^; It was fun to see him and Mireille's banter, and Mireille come out of her shell a little.
Like the other reviews mentioned, if you enjoy it, make sure you go back and check it out past your first playthrough!
