The series are awesome! P.S.: If you are bothered by animation, then keep in mind that animation improved a lot in second season. Just jump to second season, watch, love the heroes, come back to the first season :)

One of the finest examples of contemporary Russian animation, suitable for children and adults alike. English translation (to my pleasant surprise) and dubbing certainly deserve credit. And this price is a bargain! UPD: Sadly, now I have to note that the music has been cut from some of the episodes, I'm curious as to what had led to this outrageous loss. Maybe it had to do with dubbing, no idea, really. Besides, the dubbing itself is not as flawless as I thought before; some characters have lost the original peculiarities in their voices, e.g. Pin had a mock German accent, constantly using words like 'freulein', 'nein', 'naturlich', etc. while there's none to be found in the English version. All in all, I feel a tiny bit disappointed now. UPD: Some episodes seem to be missing, with copies of others in their place. Now, this is foul play that almost makes me mark my review as negative.

First of all - I must notice that these cartoons can be found on YouTube. So I highly recommend you to check YouTube before purchasing Kikoriki here. Remember that you can not refund this video-content on Steam. So, Kikoriki ... I adore this cartoon, even if not all series are equally good but, in any case, this is a cartoon of extremely high quality. Although Kikoriki are positioned as project for children, many episodes will be interesting even for adults. Try to watch such series as "The Suitcase", "A Couple of Dribs and Drabs Amid Nature", "Monologues" or "The Meaning of Life", I guess you will not be disappointed. There are quite deep stories hidden under a cheerful and colourful appearance, and I do not think that child is able to fully understand them, but adult will be able to see it. Kikoriki earned their charm due to excellent development of characters, each of them is a unique personality with recognizable features. Each episode is a short but completed story, and I was repeatedly amazed by how well developers are able to fit an sensible and interesting plot in just a couple of minutes. Some series will talk about interpersonal relationships and even conflicts, some series just tell about strange and funny adventures. In any case, they inspire very bright and good feelings. In some cases, english version of Kikoriki is slightly inferior to russian original, because some references and puns have been lost but, unfortunately, this is always inevitable in translation. In general, it seemed to me that voices of characters was picked up quite well, and I enjoyed to listening english voice acting. Also, I should mention musical accompaniment, melodies are interesting and perfectly match with mood of the cartoon. Kikoriki are very popular in Russia, the studio has created a large number of series, including 3D format. For example, I love easy and entertaining educational cartoon "Pin-Code" in which Kikoriki characters tell about natural science. I hope that, eventually, we will see not only Kikoriki, but other russian cartoons, such as "Pin-Code", "Masha and the Bear" and "Fixiki". These are projects of very high quality... ... and, well, if you expect to see drunken bears with red banners - look for them somewhere else, please. This is not "Red Alert". Really.
