i know i aint got much time but i physically cant get anymore. this game is just so bleh. this game has graphics that arent stylistically bad, they just suck. especially for a 2019 game. i dont even care about hyper realistic graphics my fav game ever is lethal company. the best part of this game is the opening cutscene because i thought it would have humour and decent graphics, but nah, it just sucks.

I find it a challenging game but not one that is impossible. I would say that one word descrives the right gameplay, the gameplay that leads you to victory, imense wealth and never before seen glory for the centuries to come in the universe of Tropico, and this word is "patience". It is not a game you want to hurry. Stable, slow developement will lead to peacefull and successfull communities when guiding through the different time periods in the game. Very good mechanics and a very good game! I am happy to have bought it.

Having been a long-time addict of the Tropico series, I can confidently say that Tropico 6 is a fantastic game. It offers a unique twist on the city-building genre, reminiscent of SimCity but with a distinctly Cuban, dictatorial flair. If you enjoy city-building games and the thrill of wielding absolute power, I highly recommend this one!

Since I've been "elected" I've done nothing but use the tax money for underpaid labor, went against what the people wanted and governed how I liked it because I am the policing force anyways and what are they gonna do? I cannot hear their cries for freedom over national debt and full-volume flamenco that I'm constantly blasting over the poories (citizens). I cannot stop selling tobacco products, liqueur, and tropical fruits where I am pretty sure children are working in but ah, who cares, it is like an outdoor school for them where they can learn about the nature... hey I should write it up like this so the "progressive" (human right supporter) groups can be all amazed and whatever. I love being the unstoppable and un-de-electable president, yes, you cannot *not* vote for me, I am the one on the ballots, I am the one who counts the ballots and HELL, I AM THE BALLOT ITSELF. Don't you DARE ask about your tax money AGAIN or I will lower the dock wages just out of spite, and strikes are illegal!!!! I guess this game is good too, can do these things here also.

Kalypso, in typical Kalypso fashion, looked at Tropico 6 and thought "Yes, we will sell this video game in exchange for money. This is a video game ready to be sold." Tropico 6 is a half decent game. If you want to play a game of the Tropico series and want to play only the most recent game of any series, Tropico 6 is fine. It is also certainly the worst game in the Tropico series. If this would be your first game of the Tropico franchise, try a different game first as Tropico 6 could ruin the rest of the series before you get to try it.

Fantastically made game for politics, city management, and economy. The only thing somewhat lacking in my opinion is military content, especially if you do multiplayer. Would like to see better control of units, like ability to designate key objectives besides just other palaces (Power Plants, Factories, Dockyard, Local Bars etc.). The infantry and tanks seem fine, but one more unit that can out-range a watchtower like a mortar would be nice to encourage a real standing army. For cost of units, I think the upgraded tanks and infantry from barracks should have more upkeep or wage too, just so you have to be more selective about quality and quantity. Great game overall, but I think similar changes would make multiplayer really fun and single player against rebels.

It's still Tropico and it's still one of the best city builders being made, but it's not as good as it used to be. Something feels off about this one. Perhaps it's the difficulty; this game feels much trickier than prior incarnations. Creating and sustaining a workable economy is harder than before (not impossible, thanks to the good ole rum industry). Maybe it's the lack of silliness? Tropico always felt bizarre in a good way. The daft radio station DJs, the absurd characters and amusing parodies all... worked. This one feels like it's taking itself entirely too seriously. That's not saying there aren't moments, like Penultimo's genius plan to hide gold in coconuts to evade the Crown export duties; but they still feel too few and far between. Weirdly, I think Tropico 5 was a more enjoyable game...

Thumbs up for Tropico 6 — with one caveat: I keep going broke and I’m not sure if it’s me or El Presidente's economy. The game nails the island dictator fantasy with great era progression, solid industry chains, and lots of tools (edicts, trade routes, raids, etc.) to shape your empire. Building up from rum runners to cigar tycoons is super satisfying, and the visuals and humor are on point. The core gameplay loop is fun, and the replayability is strong with all the different maps and approaches. That said, I keep hitting a wall. Around the end of the Colonial or World Wars era, my economy tanks hard. Income dries up, ship exports stall, and I’m left scrambling while my expenses climb. Either I'm doing something wrong with my industry scaling, or the financial pacing needs a better early-game tutorial or UI feedback. The lack of clear transport flow feedback (teamsters especially) can kneecap your supply chains without you realizing it. Suggestions: Add clearer budget insights or warnings before era transitions Show bottlenecks in transport/logistics Improve financial graphing over time Despite this, I still highly recommend it. The charm, depth, and potential for clever builds make Tropico 6 worth it — just don’t get too comfy with your cash reserves.
