I'd like to start by saying I had issues with this game crashing on start, but I came back to this game after I had to install old versions of Physx for a different game and I wondered if this game would also be fixed. Turns out it, that fixed it. I played through the whole game on Win 10 x64 after I installed old versions of physx manually. It never crashed and ran great.
Next I'd like to give some advice, don't use a controller its just way too hard to control. This game is best played holding the forward button on the keyboard, and use the mouse to "steer" the cat. Once you get this down, you can actually do some pretty good moves with the cat. There was a steep learning curve, but when you get the hang of it, the control can actually be pretty fun.
Next Advice is that you should use the F5 quick save all the time, at least for the jump puzzle type parts, so you won't have to re-do any of the skill jumps.
OK, so back to the review. I really liked this game. Sure, at first i was super frustrated with the control, but you get good at it if you keep trying. Its true this is an indie game and almost everything seems a little ruff around the edges, the jumping and physx engine being the worst part. If you get used to the quirks, the artwork, music, voices, story are all entertaining. The gameplay is varied enough to keep you from getting bored. A bonus is that there is a poetry reciting minigame, that acually teaches you some poetry from Alice Through the Looking glass. I love indie games and this is a great example of why, where else are you going to get game content that is actually something new. Anyway, the game is the right length, about 3hrs. At about that time they either needed to have a new mission type, or just end the game, and so it seemed like a good place to stop.
The artwork is just great (minus the animations) and it even has correct 5.1 surround sound support (even many non indie games get that wrong). If you like cats, every kind of cat, and if you want to hug all of them, then this game is for you!

Meh - only OK.
The farm environment is cute and the voice acting is decent, but gameplay is a mess! Controls are wacky. Going to re-play it with my little niece to see what she thinks of it.

I don't understand how this game has such good reviews? The game is buggy, messy, nonsensical trash that the only thing that it has going for it is that it has cats. Not even the achievements work correctly and the devs are like "works on my machine so it must be working fine"...
Dont get tricked by the cats, this one is an awful game.

Cute and Simple Cat Platformer/Racer. Pretty easy and chill. The voice acting is god awful but I just love it so much! Get it on sale and have a couple hours of fun!

Cute game about cat's adventures. Controls are horrible, though, but bearable. The rest is just awesome. Nice looking graphic, good music, something like an interesting story. Deffinently recomend, if you looking for something calm and relaxing. I wish there are more games like this in steam.

The Cat! Porfirio's Adventure has cute characters, nice cartoony graphics and good voice acting. There are challenges to complete such as find this many such and such and racing. What kills this game are the absolutely horrible controls! This game has some of the most terrible controls of any game I've ever played! If the the developer ever fixes the horrendously frustrating controls, I'll finish the game and change my review, but until then definitely not recommended.

Cute cat themed adventure game. Graphics are artsy, but dated. Voice acting is cheesy. I had fun playing until a .net update broke it.
So basically it needs an older dotnet and video driver, that gets overwritten when installing newer games. This causes it to not work on my win7. It used to run fine in XP but steam dropped support so the client won't run - causing the game to crash. In it's current state, the game is unplayable. Too bad, I enjoyed it when it did work.

If you seek for challenging gameplay with lot of content and/or a great story - you won't find it here. The Cat! Porfirio's Adventure is a platform game for kids... which is cute.
You are Porfirio, a city cat who visits country cats and you have to prove that city cats are no worse than the other.
The game contains 2 hours of gameplay in average during which you have to participate in races, looking for fish and herbs or escape from dogs, wolves and boars. There's a quite nice bright graphics and sweet-looking environment.
Porfirio jumps high and is quite fast, but he surely has some problems with balance and climbing. But he's nice. He's a cat after all. And there are few more cats. Friendly cats. Yes.
So... if you are looking for some game for a young kid, this one should do. If you are looking for a short game to rest with, and moreover you like cats, you should be satisfied. The price to the amount of content is alright.

This game looked promising, since it had pretty nice graphics and cute cats, but the game itself is dull and unplayable. The controls are really buggy, and they make even the tutorial level unplayable. The physics are horrible, and I found Porfirio walking on air multiple times. The levels are poorly designed and don't compliment the already bad controls very well. Don't let it's visual style fool you: The Cat! Porfirio's Adventure is a failure in mostly every other way. If you are looking for cat games, The Purring Quest or Catlateral Damage are better choices.

This game is a simple solution of killing spare time and enjoying a life of a cat in the countryside. Actually, it has no deep story or drama. Porfirio and all his friends are very adorable. The graphics are acceptable, it has a specific cartoonish style and the colours are saturated a lot, what makes Porfirio's Adventure a good solution for kids of age 4 to 8 or something, who are very perceptive to colourful textures and objects at these ages. In fact I didn't like the controls. That thing with jumps made me really nervous when misjumping on the log and falling into water again. But all in all, if you want to relax you definitely have to try Porfirio's Adventure ;)
