Played it in its raw form. I like how you can feel how much effort has been put in the game. Like the sounds that have been imitated and recorded by the developer and such. The game itself is pretty much fun, although too hard for me ^^ with a love for detail. Furthermore it is more sophisticated than it might seem at the start

Lil Big Invasion is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. The game is a completely awful pathing puzzle game (it looks like a platformer, don't be fooled by terrible mobile devs) where you put your finger on your iPhone screen and drag a firefly around some completely garbage 2D "maze" puzzle maps, managing how much "light" you have and how much "meth" you must smoke to find this kind of crap even remotely acceptable as a video game on the same platform as games like Half-Life and Counter-Strike. The developer produced this train wreck on their own, failing to hire professional staff, allocate sufficient budget, and other resources to the development of this mobile app. This is a lot like trying to drive a car using only your feet. It can be done, perhaps, but it's almost certain to end in disaster. Trying to to the job wrong, without professional resources, on purpose, will not result in a product that has high value for gamers. From a technical perspective, as a mobile app, this doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The artwork here is terrible, it's a hodge-podge of amateurish "My First Wacom Tablet" style drawings used instead professional looking game assets. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget to arrange someone who can create graphical assets properly, or lack of talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low, enough on its own to deter gamers. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. Because this is a mobile app, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the iPhones that the mobile app was designed for. These are unfortunate handicaps and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was an afterthought for the iPhone developers who are to blame for this. The mobile app is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for mobile phones forces upon a game. Once more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. I didn't spend thousands on building a gaming rig just so I could pretend it's an iPhone. These technical defects push this mobile app below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. You don't have to take my word about how bad the mobile app is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. Lil Big Invasion has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the mobile app absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for CgkI7qyfiuMeEAIQAQ (I'm not making that up, that's how the developer posted that crap to Valve, but it's actually for finishing the crap tutorial), trivial to achieve, but less than 3 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the mobile app. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch. Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this mobile app was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the mobile app. But this only happened once, and isn't consistent with the achievement stats, that show less than 3 percent of players bothered playing the mobile app for any reasonable amount of time. How is it possible for this mobile app to have so many concurrent players who didn't bother engaging with this mobile app? Trading cards. People will use card idling software to collect the cards and sell them, but this won't trigger any achievements in-game. That tells us people only really bought this mobile app for trading cards, and that's a damning indictment of the woeful quality. A closer look at the numbers shows the mobile app just has a couple of players every week running up the mobile app and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many mobile apps like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. Once more we see greedy mobile devs trying to scam PC gamers. On Steam, this is $2 USD, on app stores, it's free. Mobile devs must learn PC gamers are not here to be gouged, and can't be expected to pay a premium for a free mobile app just because it's been lazily dumped on Steam. This is unacceptable disrespect for PC gamers. Because this can be played free elsewhere, and because of the other defects, it's impossible to recommend. Who do they think we are? This is also competing with over 9,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.

This is a fun little action adventure game, developed by my former colleague Andreas. It's so cute, but challenging 'til the last minute and the sounds are really funny, even if the little fireflies sometimes don't behave as you want them to. But that's the trick of the game and you'll soon know how to handle them right in order to crack some highscores. Overall, an awesome game!

Awesome indie game with way enough content to fit the bill. Its kinda like Pikmin except they are trapped in dungeons and you must find and rescue them. Really loved the sound and the art-style. Dungeons are getting way harder and better later on and the boss fights are fun. It took me some time to get used to the controls tho. Exploration is great IF you figure out how the moths and the worms do work... which is not part of the tutorial :/ It's cute but challenging and worth the money.

Not only is this game fun and stimulating yet relaxing at the same time, but it was also developed by only one person yet is still incredibly detailed. This game is well worth a few dollars.

100% positive reviews so far, but not enough people have reviewed to show up. I liked it. It would be nice on a touch screen if you happen to have one as well. The tutorial brings you into the game at a nice pace. I think you should spend a buck when its on sale and if you like it put up a review.

It's a nice game but the controls are very tiring. You have to keep the left mouse button pressed while moving the mouse. It'll give me repetitive strain injury. It's too much like being at work. Change the controls and I will recommend the game.

I am really enjoying this game. The levels are well thought out, challenging and fun, but not frustrating. It's well polished, and runs smoothly. For some reason it reminds me of World of Goo. Not for the gameplay, but just the simple but incredibly fun mechanics and puzzles. The only thing that was a little confusing to figure out was changing levels. (Think swipe, not drag)

It is a bit on a casual side but still fun in short spurts.

With world one being a bit slow paced, the game takes up speed beginning with world 2. Introducing new elements to the dungeons, the game is starting to make a real interesting an challenging little piece of art. I'd recommend listening to the music with headphones on since it is very well made and atmospheric. For me the game is 5 Euros well spend.
